The real engineers are never unemployed.

I took admission through the UPSEE score, when I was having my counselling I chose PSIT as the top priority because I knew about the college and its wonderful abilities to mould a student into a professional engineer. Then I was allotted a slot to come to the campus for stream selection, campus tour and other paperwork. The process took me about 4-5 hours. After the payment of advance fees, my seat was locked.

The reason I chose mechanical engineering is only that I like it. I feel a kind of related to machines in automobiles, refrigerators, engines and all other stuff, thought it might be easy for me to succeed in the line, however, I must admit that it's not as famous as Computer sciences keeping in mind the current scenario, but its hell lot interesting and mind blowing. Coming to my faculty, they are average, this is an honest review. On average I don't mean they lack knowledge about the subject, it's just that they may not be able to convey it properly. But that's manageable for us, the students in our batch. Because the faculty are really cool, they are like friends sometimes and do their best to help us in any way possible.

We are ME guys, so we basically go on an industrial visit, there we are taught the actual work and are given the work experience so that when we are employed, nothing stops us at all. The stipend is around 10k - 12k minimum and the maximum can go up to 30k.

See, in my opinion, any college won't get you a job. Its duty is just to make YOU capable to get yourself employed. Once you reach 6th sem, you are going to face the company's interviews and internships and it is during this time that gets you the job in the coming future, your grades, your skill, your passion and your dedication everything will be developed during the mock interview series by the college so that when you go out there facing a real one, you are shing with self confidence. Now it's a well known fact that at this time computers have got a bigger hand, thanks to the era of digitalization and therefore PSIT invites a lot of companies for this particular stream ranging from Infosys, Convergence, to TATA and many more. So if you are even an average guy, trust me you can get a good and decent JOB.

Let me be very clear on this matter. I come from a middle class family and I know very well what a family thinks first when it comes to admitting their child to a private institute. The fees for all the CORE branches at PSIT is around 1,22,000 rupees per annum. Whereas the fees for the CS and IT guys is 1,50,000 rupees per annum. Apart from this, you will be asked to submit annual fees of 8k as examination fees to AKTU. if I talk about the hostel, you have to pay around 78k per annum for non-ac rooms and 90k per annum for ac rooms, this includes meals, teas and snacks, laundry and medical aid in case of any emergency. The AKTU provides the students with a scheme of scholarship as well, where every student who is not in a financial capacity to continue the study may help himself/herself out. The scholarship is around 60k per annum and minds you the scholarship you receive may depend on your caste and the year in which you are studying right now.

I can actually tell you about this best because am a hosteller and I live on the campus 24*7. So we enjoy it the most when it's time for a college fest. The dance, the music, the crowd its all really mesmerising, trust me. The college fest comes once a year and trusts me when you are a fresher you will remember it throughout your life. PSIT has two libraries and none of them is small or short of the book. Every single book that you might want to lay a hand on, you will get there, from artificial engines to machine learning, problem solving, thermodynamics and what not.
