Faculty of Management Studies (MSU)- is one of the best MBA colleges which one can get through the CMAT examination. So as I also live in the same city and was possible for me to get admission here I choose this college. The cut-off percentile varies every year depending on the difficulty level of the CMAT exam. At my time it was 84 percentile.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum here always gets updated with the latest topics and new updates techniques going in the corporate world. All the faculties are of master degree and doctorate and have good experience in the teaching field. The faculty-student ratio is 1:6. The semester period is around 4 to 5 months and in between the mid-semester exams are taken. Along with regular classes, there is regular case study discussion in different subjects that are taught.
Internships Opportunities
Live Projects opportunities are not from college but one can freely do if he/she gets the opportunity on their own. For internship startups and local companies visits more. Tenhard Pvt Ltd, ICICI, Outlook magazines, Apollo Tyres etc visits. The stipend varies from company to company. In some there is fix stipend, it is on a performance basis and in some, it is fix plus variable. The maximum was 15000 per month.
Placement Experience
Yes, our college does have a placement drive in which many companies do visit the campus for the recruitment process. Also, many companies are there on the outskirts of Vadodara which also visits every year. Bank like ICICI, HDFC, Federal Bank comes. The highest number of offers are made by ICICI. TCS, Reliance, Outlook Magazines, Divya Bhaskar, Times of India etc are some of the other companies that visit. The highest package goes till 11 lacs and the average is 5.5 - 6 lacs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The hike in the fees was not there during my time. Also, the fees are comparatively low and the ROI is quite good. The overall cost is nearly 2 lacs Overall cost includes fees of uniform and Management Student Forum (MSF). Management Student Forum consists bunch of students which are then divided into different committees.
Campus Life
Faculty of Management Studies - Baroda have its own library where are there are lots of books available for different subjects. For sports also different events are organized so with studies one also focuses on fitness. There different clubs and committees for this purpose and which organises events and webinars.
