College worth of money but compromising with Placements

The admission process is super easy You just have to visit the college and they will take a counselling session then if you are interested they will charge INR 1000 for admission form with some documents such as mark sheet, Id proof etc. There is no minimum age however 17 is preferred and minimum marks are 50% with any stream. But as it is a private college they sometimes compromise with the marks for getting admissions.

I chose this course because I want to work in the Aviation industry for which I find this course most suitable for me. Also the course is amazing covers almost every aspect of the Tourism industry from Transport Management to Hospitality. This course is also having less competition in comparison to Engineering medical or another major course which increases your chance of getting placed and work in a company. There are almost 50 to 60 faculty members which is enough as in our college the number of students are less in comparison to other colleges. Most of the teachers are either having Doctorate degree or they are pursuing it but still I find that they are not so good in teaching however some trachers are amazing. Teachers are having corporate experience More than that of an academic one. Exams happen on a semester basis. Exams are averagely difficult i. e. a student can easily pass it.

Our seniors are doing online and offline internships on Lido earning and Godinga which is a local company in our city. Because of the pandemic, I am not having much knowledge about their ongoing projects and tasks. Teachers are planning to send us to Uttarakhand for our internship training however I don't find it very true to happen.

According to me from 5th semester(third year) student becomes eligible for placement as our senior got placement in the same year. Because of this pandemic no data of our seniors but our super seniors were placed as out of a batch of 14 students 11 were placed in two companies i. e. Hostello and Mi stay. The highest package was 3.10 lakhs INR and the average was 2.4 lakhs INR. Post offered are Customer experience champion and Customer relationship executive. According to the college website 78 % of students got placement. I am planning to work and get jib experience if I got placed.

I am in the 4th semester and haven't face the fees hike for the last two years. College is Worth money because fees are not so high. A middle-class family can easily afford the fees however the college is a bit far from the city center which makes a student compulsory to opt for convincing service which is very costly (approximately 13000-14000 per year) but it is well connected to public transport or many students uses their own vehicles to come there. The college provides yearly scholarships on the basis of Results and marks( above 75% and so on). I am taking the OBC post-matric scholarship from the government (20000 per year in my case and depends upon the income) and any SC/ST OBC student can avail it by submitting the necessary documents. As I am in my second year I Haven't got any placement or internship also because of the pandemic ongoing.

Annual fest "SPANDAN" is conducted every year in the month of October which includes many Quizzes Debates and other events. The library consists of two halls have a lot of books and necessary journals. But the carrying capacity of the library is not so high only 40 students maximum at a time. Classrooms are average with Digital boards and projectors and Fans because of which we many problems on sunny days. There is a separate sports department which conducts sports meets and other sports events. There is a basketball court and a Badminton court on campus. There are many clubs such as Rotaracat club Literacy club etc are there which one can easily join
