The admission criteria is based on the 12th percentage depending on the category of the student. There is a selection examination after that and is followed by a personal interview held be a panel of professors of different subjects.

I want a career in wildlife and a bachelor's in zoology was the first step towards the goal, the course is conducted by the institute of biotechnology at the university which is one of the most research-oriented and important departments. The student-teacher ratio is good and there are a number of teachers for each subject. All the teachers have a phd degree in their subjects. Marks are divided into many categories with 60-70% of marks on the basis of externals and the rest are based on internal marks including attendance, project, and assignments. Papers are set with good difficulty level and are assessed in a difficult way too.

Many non-teaching credit courses are there throughout the course including term papers, projects and dissertations. The ntcc coordinators help the students by informing them about different organizations and companies to intern with and conduct their research at the places.

Technical placement cells are present at both the department and the university level. The university gives option at the end of the second year. They ask if the student wants to sit for placements so that they can enroll them for placement and companies can be approached by the students. The second option is if the student wants to go for higher education and hence can be provided with letter of recommendation from proffesors. I am going for a masters course abroad

Fees increases 2.5% every year and the fees is comparatively lower to that of other courses at the university. Scholarship is provided to students according to 12th marks for the first year and contiues if the student gets excellent grades in university. There are placement cells in the university and they help with job assistance. Teachers also provide students with letter of recommendations if students opt for higher studies and require lors.

There are many clubs and committees at the university and the departmental level. They are responsible for conducting events. Amity youth fest takes place every year including celebrity and dj nights with competetions, students from the university and from other universities participate for cash prizes. The library is very big and contains all the necessary books course wise and more with previous year question papers to help students during examination.
