An amazing college experience

The admission process was very smooth. After giving the JEE Mains, I applied to various colleges but due to not an excellent score, i was not getting my desirable branch of Computer science or electronics. But in this college, I got my desired branch of Cmputer and communication engineering in the first round of counselling. So the counselling process consists of 7 rounds + 2 special rounds. The overall cutoff of the college is 94%. For CSE , it is 97% and for CCE it is 96%. The other two branches ECE and ME can be get at the percentile of 95%+ and 94%+. There is direct admission of board toppers and also lateral entry option available. Our college also accepts foreign students through DASA with a minimum SAT score of 1400. On the counselling day, you have to bring all the required documents (10th,12th marksheets, Transfer certificate , JEE Mains score card) and after they get verified , you will get your college ID and email. Rooms are alloted on lottery basis option of 1/2 seater.

The course curriculum is very flexible and contains all the latest technologies and trends a BTECH student should know. Courses like Artificial intelligence, Data Science, Natural Language Processing and much more , are present in the curriculum which are the most demanding technologies now-a-days. Faculty members are very much experienced - most of them are PHD's and MTECH's from renowned institutions like IIT's and other foreign universities. Teaching method is very much good with adequate amounts of tutorials, lab sessions , seminars, presentations and industry experience. Term exams are held in the month of September and december for odd semester and in February and April in the even semester. Term exams are done on the schedule already decided by the college and there is no delay in that. Exams test the reasoning and analytical skills of the students rather than their cramming ability, and yes if one study well for the exam, he is sure to pass.

For internships , top companies like Amazon and innovacer visit our college. They give a handsome stipend. Students from our college also get internships in GSOC ( google summer of code ) and Google every year. The stipend offered is 200000 for three months. Students work on various projects like Web development, App development , Amazon web services and Machine learning. Many students get direct placement offers after their internships. Coding culture of our college is very good with numerous 4-star and 5-star coders on renowned platforms like Codechef, Hackerearth and Hackerrank.

Placements of our college are very good. Students are eligible from second year for internships and from fourth year for full time offers. Many good companies visit our college like Google, Amazon and Microsoft IDC visit our college for placements. Students also get internships in Amazon and Innovacer with a good stipend. The placement percentage of our college is 92% . The highest package offered till date is 62 lakhs which was this year's and 58.99 lakhs for the 2020 batch. Average package is 12 lakhs with median around 8 lakhs. Many students are selected in the prestigious Google summer of code ( GSOC ) every year from different branches. My plans after getting the degree is to fetch a good placement.

The fee structure is very much flexible and is about 2 lakhs / semester . But for the previous year and current year, it has been reduced to 1,00,000 that is only tution fees leaving the mess and hostel charges. Scholarships are also given for the new admissions and for the current students. Scholarships for the new admissions are based on their JEE Advanced scores . For the second,third and fourth year, it is based on the CGPA. Generally a CGPA greater than 9.25 will ensure you a scholarship of upto 25000/year. Financial aid is also available at the time of counselling.

The student life at campus is very much good. Besides studies, there are many things for enjoyment in the college. There is a SAC ( student activity centre), Basketball court, Cricket Grounds and much more for physical fitness of the students. There are three types of fest in our college - Plinth ( The technical fest ) , Desportivos ( Sports fest ) and Vivacity ( Cultural fest ). Vivacity is considered as the second most big fest in Rajasthan after BITS Pilani. All three fests are held in the last week of january and first two weeks of february with 1-2 days gap. We have a huge library having a plethora of books. There are many books and journals available in the library on different topics from academics to general interest. Classrooms and Labs are equipped with smartclass facilities and WiFi. Latest technologies and instruments are available in them. We have many student groups like dance club, coding club, social club, Enterpreneurship cell and much more .

Hostels at LNMIIT are very good. There are 4 Boy's Hostel and 1 Girls Hostels. They are spacious with inbuilt badminton court for enjoyment. Each hostel has a vending machine for late-night foodies. Each room has two beds, two cupboards and two desks and chair. Each room has AC duct for cooling in summers. Bathrooms are very clean with facilities of hot and cold water both. Messes are very good and hygeinic . They have a very good menu which changes periodically. Hostels are alloted at the time of counselling on a lottery basis. Either you get 1 seater or 2 seater. For each consecutive year, hostels are changed like first year shifted to BH2, second year to BH3 like this , this too on a lottery basis.
