Finding Success

For getting admission in gibs we have to appear for the IPU CET exam in which I scored 12k rank. We have to choose the college in which we want to take admission after that colleges are alloted. After the allotment, we have to visit the college for document verification and fees submission. There is no specific age to take the admission. The admission is based on the rank secured. I didn't avail any quota to get admission. There was no counselling session before or after admission. The admission is based on the ability of a person not based on previous mark sheets.

I choose this course because I have to learn more about managerial skills. There are around 18-20 faculty members for 3-year students of both shifts. Faculty members are excellent at their skills, well - educated and have qualified from renowned colleges. The teaching methods are unique, interactive and interesting even after the lockdown situation. Examinations take place after every semester. The question paper has 5 questions of 15 marks each. Most of the questions have choices and the paper is quite easy but somewhat tricky.

There are a no. of companies that visit my college for internship opportunities. There are various fields in which a student can complete its internship like HR, Marketing, Sales, Social media marketing, Finance, etc. This internship provides us with practical knowledge and helps us learn new skills. We have to submit a report after the successful completion of the internship on the basis that we are given the internal assessment marks.

The students of the final year are eligible for the campus placement. The companies that visit our college for placement are Citi Bank, ICICI Bank, Amazon, Byju's, Oracle, Edge Canvas, Finedge and many more. The highest package offered is 7-8 LPA and the average package offered is 5 LPA. Most of the students get placed under the campus placement. I will pursue my MBA after graduation is done.

The fees are 108000 Rupees for a year. The cost of the study is a little high as a normal working class or wage class cannot afford the fees. Even the college do not provide any financial assistance or scholarship to students. Yes, they provide paid internship and jobs to the students. But the government provide many schemes that the students can avail to pay their fees and education loan is also available.

Zenith is the annual fest conducted by the students of gibs in the month of April or May. There is a facility in the library which has all the subject books which are required. Also, there is a facility of a book bank which students can avail by submitting a nominal amount as security. In the basement, there are many indoor games like chess, table tennis etc. All the clubs or societies are fun by both the students under the guidance of faculty members. Some of the socities of gibs are Art and craft society, NSS Unit, dance and singing society etc.
