Remarks
Firstly there is a minimum cut-off based on which the candidate will get a call if shortlisted for the GD. Followed by the GD there will be PI for the shortlisted students. GD/ PI are held at different location across India. So it is quite convenient for the candidates to attend the selection process. After the PI the shortlisted students will be informed of the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose PGDM in marketing because it is one domain that is quite dynamic and XISS is a good college to choose for this program. There are 60 students in a batch and the faculties are quite educated from top notch B- schools and experienced. There are 6 trimesters in the entire program and the exams were quite timely and provided the students to implement their knowledge and skills gained in the classroom.
Internships Opportunities
For internships, there are many companies that come and mostly they don't pay. So it's not worth it at all according to me. Projects depend on the companies and how much the students want to learn. As such I personally don't like the placement of this college.
Placement Experience
From the 4th trimester students are eligible for placements. There are a lot of companies that visited but it is not so dynamic. Personally, I don't feel the campus placements are so good. And I would suggest switching for better options for pursuing PGDM.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well, the fees for the entire 2 years was 850000/- which is quite feasible considering the ROI. Considering PGDM which is obviously costly, XISS is a well-renowned and esteemed college that provides campus placement at an affordable rate
Campus Life
There are so many clubs for the students to provide them exposure and gain team-management skills. There is a good library facility. The classrooms are well-equipped with AC and an advanced way of learning. Every now and then there are different extra-curricular activities that are held.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are quite good with the availability of mess and food is provided 3 times. The food quality was good. The registration process is quite simple and is done through the college through the admission team.
Interview Experience
Topics were current affairs, Indian economy. After the topic was given, the candidates are allotted 2-3 minutes to pen down their thoughts regarding the topic. The process is quite seamless and the GD topics are not so tough.
