A brief and quick look around our college!

I was admitted through KCET. I had secured 23k rank in kcet. It is one of the most popular entrance exams all over India. It is conducted through offline mode and around 2 lakh or more students attend this exam annually. After the results were announced, there was a process called counselling where we uploaded our certificates and details then we had our option entry where we listed out the colleges along with the courses which are required of us. I opted for Kalpataru Institute of technology as my first option because I had got very good reviews on this college as I was aspiring to get into a good college with campus placements. I got selected in the first round itself and I had secured snq seat where my cet fees were just around 4090 INR along with college fees of 20000.

I always aspired to be a software engineer so I chose Computer science engineering courses in this college. This college has a very good and skilled faculty, which is very helpful for us to learn new things every day. Teachers over here are very intellectual and friendly, they keep us more active and make us learn the concepts easily. All the faculty over here are well qualified, many have completed their PhD's in their respective subjects. Our term exams were not difficult as we were taught well by our respective teachers, it was easy to pass out our last semester.

As I'm still studying in my 1st year, I don't know much about the internships which are offered by our college but they will start offering the internships as soon as possible. They have even created WhatsApp groups to circulate the messages and information regarding internships and stipend offered.

As I know, students would be eligible for the campus recruitment program when they reach the end of the 6th semester i.e., at the end of the 3rd year. Our campus is visited by many well reputed companies and they recruit our students, offer us the offer letters too. Many companies like Wipro, Infosys, TATA groups etc have visited our campus. As far as I know, the maximum package which was offered at our campus was around 13 lakh per annum. I have plans to pursue masters in business management after completing this degree.

Fees over here are cost friendly. If you've good ranks, you even get some amount reduced in your fees. As I have secured snq (quota) my fees is only 24,090 INR, which is reasonable to study engineering. I have just applied for ssp scholarship but I haven't got any messages from that yet but I will get some scholarship amount from ssp soon. This would help me in financial assistance to pay my fees and books. As I'm still a 1st year student, I haven't got any job or stipend for any of the internships yet.

Our college is good at holding fests like KALPOTSAVA and many more cultural events/tech fests. They conduct it annually and help students to enjoy every moment in the college. Our college library has abundant books of many authors and they even provide us with many textbooks of different authors which covers the syllabus of their respective subjects. Our college has well facilitated classroom with windows and good condition fans and boards. Our college supports students to participate in all kind of sports. It has good indoor and outdoor stadiums to practice the sports along with well trained PE teachers. They support us in all kind of ways possible. They even support us in doing cultural events and extracurricular activities like dancing, singing, anchoring and many more. As I'm new to college I don't know much about the social groups which are run by the students but there are many such kinds of groups at college.
