My days in sanjivani college!

Since after completing my high school education, I started preparing for IIT JEE examination. Unfortunately I didn't get my desired branch in IIT due to which I opted for this university which was located near by my home town. The admission process was quite simple here, I had to submit my JEE mains score card and my academic school certificates in the screening round.

My course duration was standard, i.e. 4 years. My professors had years of teaching as well as industry experience. They were well educated (36 in numbers, 09 with PhD qualification). There were total of eight semester in which first year was common for all branches. Also, there was sessional examinations before the main semester examination just like in other colleges. I opted for the plain mechanical engineering degree here, although there were some specializations also in my domain. Some of my cores subjects were thermodynamics, RAC, Strength of material, machine design, aerodynamics, engineering mechanics, etc. Moreover there were different design and programming language labs included in my course curriculum.

I got my first summer internship in my third year in a fastener company which deals with all king of couplings. Heat treatments were also there and I had learned a lot of thing form that company. That internship was last long for three months. Apart from that I again joined the same company for my six months industrial training in the last semester. I got my placement during the final year recruitment drive conducted in the campus where a number of companies visited the campus. I had been selected as design engineer in Sonalika tractors and got 5 LPA as my first CTC.

My annual tuition fees was 120000 INR including all taxes. Apart from that, there were some university charges which were mandatory to be paid by each scholar. Scholarship plans were also there but I didn't opt for anyone. Near around 8 Lakh INR was paid by my parents on my course.

The administration department here had well qualified and dedicated staff and was known for its high academic standard, well maintained discipline and complete infrastructure facilities. Every year, an annual cultural fest was organized in the campus with the support of both faculty an students. There were 14 laboratories in my department, a separate CAD/CAM laboratory had been developed with various software such as Ideas, Master Cam, ANSYS, Pro-ENGINEER, Unigraphics-NX4, CNC2000 etc. In my program, SANJIVANI TECH-FEST was organized which was a National Conference for the students based on their projects. Infrastructure of the campus and accommodation was more than average I can say. Moreover here I felt home like environment always.
