Satisfying ROI: ISM Dhanbad

I decided to choose to apply an an IIT instead of an IIM because an MBA from IITs is suited for aspirants with a Tech background. plus the fee here was really less in comparison to IIM and hailing from a Science and Engineering domain, I was naturally inclined towards IIT and being from a middle class family, I didn't even think about all the other private institutes because I wasn't sure if I would get admission into those and the fee of those private colleges were totally out of my budget. So, I applied here at DMS IIT Dhanbad online by paying an application fee of Rs.800.

The curriculum was on it's own pace and challenging from multiple perspectives and sometimes even I could keep up with it but it provided me with the best traditional MBA toolkit and gave me a solid foundation in business theory. Through the program, I was able to gain the understanding, adaptive mind-set and competencies to work in any market condition. The faculty members were well-known and highly respected in their respective academic fraternities. They provided us with consultancy assignments, live projects and industry inputs that I now realize were very essential for quality management education.

From placement point of view, MBA department had remarkable placements and as I was the topper of my branch and I got placed in Accenture. But there were others who received offer from Vedanta, Tata Steel, KPMG India, Sapient, Axis Bank, Wipro, TCS, etc. More than 90% of batch was placed during the placement month and the salary packages went as high as 10-15 lakhs and comparing to the amount of 3.4 lakhs that we had to pay for the program, the ROI turned out quite high according to me.

I had to pay this fee on year basis and the whole program cost me 3.4 lakhs, and the total fee included my tuition fees, registration fees, exam fees and some other extra charges. I could afford the amount so I didn't apply for any financial assistance or loans but the institute did offer several of them on merit and need-basis.

We were provided with some of the best and world-class facilities here, be it infrastructure, library, campus stores, Wi-Fi, sports complex or transport. Labs and classrooms were also quite good and the quality of food is definitely better than other colleges that I have experienced. Along with my friends, we often went to Student Activity Centre to hangout or fresh and up our mind as it had a swimming pool, gym, badminton court, billiard room, food cafe and music club. I was able to develop my communication skills and personality through Toastmaster International Club and other clubs related to dramatics, dance, music, quizzing, literary, photography, etc at Student Activity Centre. We also had trainers available to help us in extra curricular activities such as swimming, billiards, basketball and lots more.
