Remarks
I chose Awadhesh Pratap Singh University because I wanted to move back home to Rewa after my graduation. Thankfully I qualified for the eligibility of my subject, Chemistry which was 45% in graduation. I applied through the web portal of the university MPONLINE which was relatively simple. I think the admission form fees were 600 rupees which is very less compared to other universities. Needless to say I was delighted when I found out that I had been accepted.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course curriculum really suited me, I was able to focus on the topics that I want to go into research in. We always worked in small groups in the labs and got individual attention for our side projects. I got really lucky with my supervisor too, Sir has really helped me a lot throughout.
Placement Experience
Our university mostly has regular courses for postgraduate studies which mainly focus on research so there are no placements as such. Or least, that is true for my department and from what I know. But we get recommendations from our professors and also ample internship possibilities in reputed companies in our fields of choice through their connections. One such internship actually led to a senior getting hired in her company with a very good package! I think it was 6LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fees for the entire two years came to around 70000 rupees I think. And that is much much cheaper than a lot of other universities. That is actually another reason for choosing APSU, it has significantly reduced the financial burden on my parents. There are also a few scholarships that are given to students on a need and merit basis. One of my friends applied for the same through the administrative office.
Campus Life
I really enjoy my time in campus. The green and vibrant feel really energizes me after a rough and exhausting day of classes. There are a few clubs and societies around campus, but I am not a member of any sadly. I prefer to go home and get on with my work as fast as I can. The one thing that I really enjoy though is playing badminton in campus with my friends in winter. Our campus has pretty good sports facilities, I must say.
