Remarks

I chose this university as this was the best university I was getting with my JEE scores. Actually my university was quite highly rated I found out later. It is in the Top 15 in a list by Outlook and and in the top 20 by India today! Admissions are done through the KCET, JEE Main, COMEDK UGET or CMRUAT and there is a eligibility criteria that we have to pass in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics subjects along with optional subjects and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate which is really not hard to meet. I got in through JEE Mains and the successive counselling for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Our curriculum gives importance to learning through hands-on, activity-based exercises. Our professors guide and encourage us to be creative, think and innovate. One of our seniors told us the professors apply something called Design Thinking in planning classroom sessions and student activities, though I am not sure what that is exactly. But, no matter what it is it cannot be denied I we have some of the best facukty. Oh, and at my university, we are evaluated through the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). The CCE is a measure of our abilities through the contribution to various activities, team projects and case studies. The focus in my department too is on collaborative learning. It continually keeps us on our toes.

Placement Experience

3

One of my favourite things is that our university has a training and placement centre which is headed by a Senior Professor and Director. Our graduating seniors told us that Training and Placement Centre really helps as it makes us understand the pulse of the corporate world and helps us prepare for their careers. We get exclusive training programs in soft skills and aptitude along with online tests are given to students to make them assess skills in broader areas. I am not very sure about the numbers but I think the average package offered in the last placement drive was about 5 lakhs and most of out seniors got placed with good companies too!

Fee Structure And Facilities

I think my entire tuition fee is around 8 lakhs for all four years and that makes the semester fees about 1 lakh. This is neither too bad or good as I heard one of my school friends' tuition fees was double this amount! But the good thing is we have like half a dozen scholarships both merit based and merit cum means. Some of them are full waivers while the rest waive part of the tuition fees, but that is very helpful too! There is the CMR Memorial Scholarships, CMR Merit Scholarships, CMR Leadership Awards, CMR Sports Scholarships. There are a few outside Scholarships too I know, because one of my friends applied for one. It was called the ICCR Scholarship, I think.

Campus Life

4

I absolutely love the campus! It is so beautiful and green. We have a lot of courts for a variety of sports like Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basketball, Throw Ball, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis, Swimming and so on. This is a great way of winding down after a rough day of classes. My friends and I always hang out there on our off days too. I heard that talented students also get special coaching and academic help. We also have something called CMRUxCourses which provides us with workshops, courses and skill-building seminars across disciplines and fields of interest. There are Roundtables and Faculty talks as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
