Remarks

The name and reputation of the college made me choose this college. Being from Mumbai, I had visited the campus for its festivals during my school days and had liked the overall environment, infrastructure and facilities very much. As I grew up, I also learnt about the placement opportunities that this college offers after completing undergrad.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum is very flexible. You have option to choose courses of your interest and thus develop your skills in more directional way. But works best if you have a good cpi in your juniour years. Because, due to limited seats in any course, preference will always be given to students with higher CPI, doesn't matter how much interest you have in it. Sports facilities are very good, well maintained. Musical instruments are also available in music rooms so that you can learn a new instrument.

Internships Opportunities

5

I did not opt for any internship through my college. But many of my friends got great intern opportunities and had great stipends. A lot of coding based companies offer interns. You can also get a department specific intern too.

Placement Experience

5

Campus placements are really good and many students get great jobs in India or abroad. Salaries may go as high as 2 crores if placed in big companies like Google, Microsoft, etc. If you don't get placed in campus placement, the reputation of the institute allows you to get a good job offer anywhere externally.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Total fee per semester includes tution fee (arnd 1.2 lakh), hostel+ mess fee (arnd 25k). But this varies from year to year and hostel to hostel. There is no fixed policy for fee hike, but our fees were increased twice during my stay of 4 years. OBC, SC/ ST students with weak economic background get named scholarships from the institute. Other students from my branch, that is from a pure science branch could avail a private Inspire scholarship of upto 60k per semester.

Campus Life

5

Overall environment is great inside the campus. There are no restrictionsas such to roam in and out of the campus. There are good clubs nearby to enjoy your weekends. You are not allowed to drink inside the campus though. Infrastructure for sports, music theatre, etc is great. You will get many chances through various events to showcase your talents. Various workshops would be held if you need to pick up something new.

Admission

You have to clear JEE advanced to get admission into this college. JEE is considered to be one of the toughest exams in the country and a structured study pattern needs to be followed. I had opted to join a coaching and had followed the professors religiously. Once JEE is cleared, and you book your seat in the college, you are called to verify your documents. Here your identity, your 12th percentage and your JEE score are checked. You need to have 70 percentile or 75 percentage, whichever is lower, in your class 12th to be eligible for admission. During my time, 70 percentile was at 72 percentage. So that was considered.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.
