Remarks

Recomendation of taking mechanical engineering in JSS is not recommended 0 placements Core branches are of no use.I am in the final year of this college and to be very honest I believe I have wasted 4 years of my life by taking admission in this college. And let me clear this, if you are from a core branch. don't ever think that you will get any placement here. This college is not good for placements of core branches. And the most important thing, even when the college knows that they can't provide any jobs to core branches still when students in their third and fourth year prepare for GATE they will scold them , snatch their books, cut their attendance, cut their internal marks. I don't understand why do they do that. 75% criteria of attendance is a must. If you have 74.99% then also you are inelegible to sit in the semester exams. And how can I forget. If u bunk ur class or if u are short of attendance they will call ur parents as if u are a class 5th kid and they will complain like school teachers. Even my school teachers never did that! . What has happened this year is that for final year major project they are forcefully making our groups. Everything they do is intolerable and frustrating. The biggest mistake of my life- took admission in JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida. Any of you. Don't do that mistake. You will regret for ur whole life.Next comes the location of the college, the college location is very much appreciating, and it is well connected with all the public transport.Metro station,at a walking distance. Now coming to the Faculty, see the most interesting thing about this collge is that 70% of the first year faculty is South Indian and so there are problems you may face while lectures but nothing much. All you have to study during B.Tech,is with yourself only.Crowd is also good in this college there are many good and talented seniors who can help you with your career option. Now coming to the most important aspect which your were waiting for,Placement.See,in this college or any college under AKTU has only good placement for non core branches only. But in this college many good companies comes with a vacancy for core branches also. This year many students of core branches have been placed in many companies like Extramarks, etc. with a highest package of about 12.4 lacs. But in CSE the placement is satisfying in this college. Highest package for CSE students is 40 lacs offered Adobe.Companies like Amazon,Paytm,Adobe,Kronos and many other visited our campus this year. So,now its your choice, what to do.This college will make you understand what unnecessary struggle is and how to face it. The management if fine but the services provided are very poor. Being in the Department of Mechanical Engineering attendance was not an issue but the internal marks was . The teachers in the Department are quite supportive except few. The college is also behind in some matters such as - No 24 hr library No 24 hr wet canteen facility. When it comes to hostel food then they serve- Acidity in breakfast,Diarrhoea in Lunch,Fat in Evening Snacks andConstipation in dinner.Overall stay at hostel was wonderful. I won't miss the college but will miss our hostel a lot. As I am leaving the academy on the day after tomorrow hostel is the thing I will surely miss. Finally about the placement,Placement in CS, IT and ECE are wonderful (only a fool wouldn't get placed in these branches) but alomost zero in core branches.Overall experience was mediocre but you attach feeling for a place in four years so I'm going to miss this college that had no uniform.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

i was recommended from my friend to a company for intership college did not provide any intership my ML knowledge, as well as my ability to sift through lots of different files and look for the potential bugs. I had to take care of the minute details that one often encounters in ML problems, without losing sight of the big picture. I then had lunch with another employee, who talked about his time at Quora, and how it was different from the other bigger companies he had worked at.The next round was on data structures and algorithms. Typical whiteboard coding stuff, where the interviewer went on to give harder questions as and when I managed to solve a given question. I was tested on trees, permutations, multi-sets, etc. The round after that was another Python practical. The practical involved debugging errors in a large codebase. I was supposed to understand the stack trace, discuss why a particular error was being thrown, write a unit test to generate that error, and then fix it. This was a really hard interview, but the interviewer was very helpful in guiding me whenever I got stuck in the problem solving process. I finished it in about 45 minutes, and was given another problem that had something to do with the time when a job is enqueued and executed. The one hour slot ended by the time I understood what this question was asking, but I managed to propose a basic solution. My final interview was with an engineering manager, who asked me a few questions on algorithms, and then questions like what I thought I would add to the team, how I would describe an ideal internship, etc. I heard back a week or so later, in the first week of May, and the head of recruitment told me that I had made it through their interview process. I started ten days later

If you are considering AKG , prefer JSS instead of AKG . One of my friend studies there , and the college really piss him off . The faculty is good but there are too much of rules and regulations . (80% attendance , entry and exit timings )Location is good . You get good exposure. Most of the IT companies are located near JSS . (Samsung , TCS )Infrastructure is good . Sporting facilities are available .Faculty is just okay .( later you will realise no one studies in the class) Attendance criteria is there , but they are a bit lenient . ( last Semester , I had 60% attendance)In short , for CS / IT , it is a good choice .For other branches , all the UPTU colleges are the same

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fine well maintained . Well , it depends upon the options you have .For example , all NIT's ,IIIT's , IIT's , GFTI's are obviously better .While concerning UPTU ,I guess it is one of the best among the private one .If you are considering AKG , prefer JSS instead of AKG . One of my friend studies there , and the college really piss him off . The faculty is good but there are too much of rules and regulations . Campus Life

And since experiene is probably the most valuable thing to offer college freshmen, here are some things I learned/wished I would have realized during my first year of college.Stop trying so hard to be part of a group that I don't even truly fit in with. Yeah, that group of people that I met at orientation just seems super awesome and cool! But after a couple of weeks, I don't have much to relate to them over. Yet I still try so hard to be a part of the group. I try to make conversation with them, but realizes that I don't have too much in common. Got self-motivated.I spent a lot time trying to get myself motivated, listening to inspirational music and reading articles on WordPress. But I actually spent very little time being motivated and working hard. I didn't want to start studying or doing homework until I felt fully inspired. Which meant that very little work actually got done.During the whole first year it feels like I should be excited to be in college, but I wasn't. I was constantly confused by people who say I love college and College is the best time of our life. But now I can say time spend in college gives the best moments which will not go out of my heart throughout my life.

Admission

I have been part of many GDs and luckily I have performed well in all of them. A lot depends on your communication skills and fluency in speaking but there are certain things which you can take care of, while in a GD.Before the start of GDKeep your mind clear. Stay calm. I remember the first time I was part of a GD for an actual selection procedure, I was trembling. It was Indian army which came to our college campus for selection of engineers who were in third year. I was trembling not because I had no experience in GD. I actively participated in all the GDs held during our class room sessions, but this was different. This time, I knew that I had to make it count or I would be knocked out. So, pressure will be there. But, you need to make sure that you keep our cool and listen to the topic carefully.Assess your group. The group size in any GD will differ. Every group will have bunch of people who will do most of the talking. If by any chance you identify these people, try and sit opposite to them. This will help you in two ways. The person will look at you while speaking (extra marks for listening ) and secondly you will have less trouble speaking. Trust me this helps.During GDIf you are clear with the topic, it would always be better if you initiate the group discussion. But trust me, many people will try and snatch this opportunity.Speak to the point. Make yourself clear while speaking. I would advice you repeat yourself in your mind before speaking. Take your time, but when you speak, make sure everyone is listening. Most of the time, the group will have a lot of people. All the persons in a group will not get chance to speak. So, you have to grab your chances and speak. It would be very difficult to speak when the group is that big. Most of the time it will turn like a fish market. So, be loud and clear while you speak. Make sure you are sufficiently loud to be audible by everyone.Make sure that you are looking towards the whole group while speaking. NEVER look towards the assessors. Make regular eye contacts with the group people while speaking. One of the most important thing which people miss is listening. Try that whenever anyone is speaking he/she is looking at you. Trust me, this helps a lot. For this, be attentive and nod a little.Never directly counter any particular person. Remember you are in a discussion, not a debate. If you disagree, be subtle about it. Also, avoid taking name of particular person or pointing anyone. These all carry negative marks. After GDSomeone needs to conclude after GD. If you feel like, you were not able to grab your chances, grab this one. Remember the important points discussed during GD and present it nicely. Remember, you need to "conclude".Thank everyone. Bear a smile and move out. Still don't look at the assessors. (That's what they told us in Indian Army's GD)

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
