UIT Shahdol Review/Feedback

Student are selected on the basis of their IIT JEE marks, as it is state government college so cutoff always little bit high, it is the only government college in Madhya Pradesh where Mining Engineering Bachelor course is available and college is well known for mining. As of now only 2 branch are there mining and mechanical of 72 seats in each course. 60 through direct entry after 12th and rest 12 through lateral entry after diploma. Lab and workshop has all latest equipment, college provide underground vocational training to the mining students and for mechanical industrial visits are arranged by the college administration. Faculty are not experienced but well qualified only drawback is that there is max teacher are on contract basis so all the administration issue are managed by Bhopal College, as of now 2 permanent faculty are there. Student teacher ratio is quite good, good learning environment with new building where all the facilities are available from hall to lab from library to sport everything thing which technical college needed.

In this college only two beaches are there mining and mechanical, so in mining first aid certificate, PGPT certificate and vocational underground training of 30days is part of the course, college provide all the help to the student and guide them to achieve it. Teacher are good in term of knowledge and teaching to students ratio are as per of AICTE norms.

Yes I have done my internship from NTPC Vindhyachal Singrauli Madhya Pradesh of 15 days in operation department and from Northern Coal Feilds Limited Singrauli Madhya Pradesh of 30 days in workshop department. Both are non paid internship. The task are only to gain knowledge by looking the operation practically.

Student of mining branch are focus on coal India examination for placement and mechanical students get chance to take part in placement which is arranged by the college. Company are local so they not pay good package but if student want to gain experience and knowledge it is best for them.

Odd semester fee approx 11500 and even semester fee approx 12500 in total about 96000 for course of four year. There is scholarship for SC/ST students, they not need to submit tuition fee. For obs students they get scholarship of 28000 yearly. For general students only top 5 tuition fee waiver scheme in each branch.

The campus is built in 2020 which is under construction from 2015 so all the equipment and infrastructure are new. As per environment there is eco-friendly with greenly garden surround the campus. Infrastructure are build as per future need of the college by adding branches.

Maximum seats are fullfil directly filled rest are through college level councilling in which student may face interview if many of them apply for limited seats. No donation for seats in this college as per rule.
