Remarks
I chose Gure Ghasidas University only because I did not have any better choice. It is a Central University and has a goot teaching staff but placements are almost nil here. Admission is done through Joint Seat Allocation Authority(JoSAA) which requires you to have given the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). University was also in my hometown which was a big reason for choosing it. Admission process starts after JEE examination.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course study is average. There are some curriculum activities happening two or three time a year. Many students also qualified GATE exams from studying here, but still depends more on your own efforts. Faculty is very good. Teachers know everything they are teaching. And will help if asked.
Placement Experience
There are No placement whatsoever in campus. You have to apply in open campus placement or yourself contact companies. There is not much help provided for placement by anyone in college. You will have to do everything on your own. University only teaches you nothing else.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee for every odd semester is 15000 and every even semester is 14000. There has not been any fee hike in my years. There is not much financial assistance provided in college and no campus job is available. There are some scholarship available for SC/ST who have 80% or above scores in board exams but nothing else I know.
Campus Life
Campus Life is fine. Nothing over the top and you get basic amenities. Tech fest is conducted every year in January called Equilibrio. There is a Central Library and Departmental Library where you can get almost every book or magazine or newspaper. There are basic amenities in classroom (lights, fans, blackboard and benches). Sports only for PE department. A group called Udaan conducts many activities inside campus. Some cultural clubs also present.
Admission
There was no group discussion, interview or written test. Students are admitted on the basis of their JEE score only. Give JEE and apply for JoSAA or for the leftover seats after JoSAA counseling in the local spot counseling.
