My College Experience

The college comes under the umbrella of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham which has got it's own achievements and value. It is a deemed college with very planned curriculum. The college follows a value based education. The college has it's own entrance exam which is to be cracked by the students and the informative university website helps the students to find the important dates and more information about the college and the courses offered.

I chose the course, Computer Science Engineering because of my interest towards programming. The faculty here is very much experienced with a very high educational background. They have there own curriculum and teaching methods to make sure the students grasp the topic. Every alternate weeks in the semester the students will have their internals planned whose difficulty level is moderate but can be easily cleared on just keen listening during the classes.

From 6th semester students get an opportunity to appear for the companies. The top companies which visit the campus are Amazon, Intuit, Bosch, Infosys, GM, Cisco, Honeywell and many more. Nearly 100 companies visit the campus. The package offered by the company ranges from 2.6lpa to 30lpa. The campus has a great record with 95-100% of placements.

During my time the tuition fee was 2,00,000 per annum. Yes, the college has the concept of scholarships depending upon the performance of the candidate during his/her entrance exam. The students can get scholarships ranging from 90% to 25%. The campus offers 100% campus placements with all top companies visiting the college. All the branches put together, more than 100 companies visit the campus and the students can easily get placed. Also, the campus conducts Internmela every year which gives the students to crack the interviews and grab the internship opportunities in some of the leading companies and startups.

The campus has got a extremely good plan for its extra curricular activities. It has got a technical wing under which there are number of clubs for students to enroll themselves and take part in the inter campus and inter college competitions. It also has a cultural wing under which variety of clubs take part. When it comes to the clubs and activities, the campus strictly follows the concept of, You Name It and We Have It! There would be different fests conducted in the campus and also you will have an opportunity to take part in the fests conducted by the university of different campuses. There are many social activities happening during the year like blood donations, helping the illiterate students with their studies, cleaning campaigns and many more. The campus has got a huge library with all possible books available for the students to groom themselves in their field of expertise and also has good classrooms with necessary infrastructure.
