Remarks
Placements are good. The faculty tried their best to solve every students doubts and try their best to stay up to date with the technology of the current world and most of them succeed in doing so. The management is lacky as office works really slow for the students where something as little as getting just a couple of signatures could take upto hours together and you end up losing your classes which are not marked present even if you're gone for some official work as the faculty is more worried about attendance than your marks and projects. A minimum of 85% is required and that rule is followed very strictly. There is a boys and a girls hostel with mediocre facilities. There is one single ground for sports and one lawn the same in size as the ground where the fests and other events are held. The fest called chiguru is also not very exciting but the college tries their best to do well with the budget they have. A new seminar hall has recently been opened which seats almost 500-1000 students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose computer science as I was genuinely interested in it but the staff and the faculty honestly do not care about your passion for learning but only about attendance and internal marks. Faculty to student ratio is almost 1:20 with all the teaching staff having a post graduate degree in the same field and the head of the departments have a PhD. Teaching is sub-par but efforts are visible. Exams are scheduled as per the vtu time table and is strictly followed no matter if there is a pandemic going in, the students need to show up to the college to write exams. Exams are easy to pass but the syllabus is outdated so it drives away your motivation to learn.
Internships Opportunities
Did not opt for an internship for college but interned with a company as a front end developer for 3 months and the college gives permission to carry on internships whenever required as long as you provide the documents and present your work experience in front of the faculty
Placement Experience
The students can enroll for placements from the 7th semester and 30% get placed in the 7th semester itself. The companies are in abundance but 90% of the companies offer packages between 3-4 LPA but the highest goes till 8-10 LPA too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for a student through KCET is close to 4 lakhs but for a management seat it's almost double that amount. Scholarships to top rank holders in competitive exams. I got placed in a company called Jaro with a package of 6.5 LPA. Average placement is 3.5 LPA.
Campus Life
There is no life as such on the campus as there are no clubs, no societies, no groups. I personally recommended the management to start a club for app development for which they made me write a circular and appoint others to start the club but then everything was turned down. The annual fest is called Chiguru and it's the only happening thing in this college. Library is great it's 4 floors big with a digital library in top and the book issuing process is seamless. There is no air conditioning in the classroom but it has a projector and 4 fans. The benches are uncomfortable to sit on as there is one long bench for 5 students. Sports activities are fun but the number of sports played are very limited.
Admission
None. There were absolutely no GD round or s personal interview as it was a direct qualification through competitive exams type of admission. College does not focus on hollistic development but only root learning and doing the same thing they've been doing for the past 10 years.
