Amity -Take or leave

One of my friends was studying in Amity University and he referred me about it. Amity University is expensive, but it works alot with their students. Back in the time, I used to think it it stupid to put 9-10 subjects per semester. But now when I'm in the industry, I realise it was beneficial. All the tools and languages I currently use was part of my program which helped me to present myself as a valuable candidate in industry

I chose this course as I was always interested in technical part of our daily lives. Amity manages the size of a class very well. When I was a student there, I remember that our size was increased to 70-80 students in first semester. And Amity immediately decided to split the size into two sections. 98% of the faculties in my department were wither PhD or were pursuing PhD. All the classrooms have projectors and well furnished seats. We had 4 computer labs to perform the practicals. Exams were usually in September and January and never seemed hard to pass. You are never asked to write anything in exam as you're told in class. All you need to do is give answers with examples and that will be it for you to pass exams

About placement, only 4-5 recognised companies came to select from our department which was apparently not enough for the whole IT department which includes students from courses such as BSc IT, BCA, MSc, MCA and a few more. Companies such as Deloitte and Cvent came for the placements. The highest package from my class was 5L for Deloitte. Only 2% of students got placements successfully.

Fees for each semester is in between 93k to 100k rupees. I believe Amity still needs to work on providing scholarships and campus jobs to their students as my class didn't get any scholarships as well as campus jobs.

Amity's social life can be pretty expensive if one purely indugles himself in it. There are MNCs in campus such as Cafe coffee day, Domino's, Subway. Amity also has its own arcadia where you can feel like you're not in a college at all. There are always some extracurricular acitivties going on which I've not much idea about as I didn't participate in any. Amity Fest takes place im Feb which one should really attend to have a nice experience. They call some of the finest DJs in campus for the DJ night which you may not wanna miss.

There was an exam and an interview which were pretty easy and seemed to be just for the formality. Exam was pretty easy. And the interview included very basic questions about one. Though, the interviewer was kind and happy to take interviews.
