D.Y.Patil college is having good name in kolhapurAslo having good faculty and when I was taking admission it was taking name kolhapur for its placement also. It was one of the famous college in city as well as known for Oldest college of engineering in kolhapur

The college is having good faculty the hod's (specially of civil and mechanical)is are also very cooperative towards the students except few teacher everyone is very cooperative. All of them are highly qualified like phd /mtech or having mastery in there feilds. No one is ordinary. Classroom teaching is also good and practicals are also reached deeply. Where every one could understand. As like all colleges some of the teachers are also here who will be non cooperative towards students but they are few. Very few. But if students keep the contact good with faculty then relax there will be no problem for academics. This year DR. D. Y. Patil has achieved autonomous Institute. So they facilities they are developing towards students is nice.

My core branch is civil getting civil intern is little bit easy but going in mnc for intern is very difficult. I have done intern in local site. Which was an apartment but we want to do intern you may talk with the faculty or hod they also help to do internship

The college is having placement.After the third mid sem the campus starts to come most of the students from cse and entc gets qualified towards there core branches company. Chemical branch is now also been active in getting campus and get good package also. Department of civil and mechanical are struggling to get there core job but yet they get qualify for marketing and coding compines. Civil and mechanical are little bit get struggle for getting campus but chemical, entc and computer branch students are in form to get place.

If you are from general category and get the admission by the merit list your fee will be upto 50-51 k and rest will be paid by the scholarship. And if not the overall fee will be upto 1 lakh and something. You can't predict accurately as each year the fee Flacuate little bit. If you are outsider and living in hostel or rent room you can apply for Punjab rao deshmukh it's a scheme for outsider provided by government. The government will give you money as you are living at outside but it is only applied for general category.From Punjab rao deshmukh you can get upto 20-21 k. College provides also provides you to pay the fee in installment so don't worry.

The college has events such as freshers party, annual dance function, dj nights, department events are there and many more. It includes nss, rotatry club, training and placement such clubs are also there. Extra curricular activities are there. Also sports have tremendous varieties each and every is been played over here. It has photography clubs, adventure club, robotics club and having forigen language courses also Japanese, French, German also. You will enjoy the college fully as the whether and people are so nice and cooperative local people and students are very much cooperative that you will have a healthy environment in college and in outside too.

No we have not faced any interview or group discussion or written test while taking admission in college. The admission was done by mhcet or jee marks. And by the management kota at the end else anything no requirement of anything.
