Remarks
First of all its a NIT. The course is good, by opting with Instrumentation and control engineering you can choose any stream at will, as it might be core instrumentation, IT field or BDA,BTA profiles as the students of instrumentation and control engineering are eligible for all those fields in campus placement. The bad aspect may be you will be confused what to choose. Admission process will be same as any other NIT, which is standard procedure.College Duniya helped me so much to select this college. There was ample data on this site and it helped me to choose the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
They just updated the course curriculum. It is promising, you can opt for minor degree which will be allotted based on your CG. Faculties are good, Instrumentation and Control Engineering department is somewhat serious kind of department and also there are most busy hours of learning in department when we compare to any other department.
Placement Experience
As a average the pavements are good but this year it is not much good. Computer Science, Electronics,(CSE,ECE - Very good) Instrumentation, electrical,(ICE, electrical - Average) chemical , Mech( Chem,Mech - Not so good) these are the branches you should consider if your looking for placements. If there is no campus placement there are other opportunities like higher studies( GATE, GRE, ILETS), Govt Jobs( GATE and PSU exams), IES, or there are jobs openings on linkedin, angel.io but you need skills to get a Job.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For open candidates 2017 batch - tuition fee is 75000 Rs per semester, and you have to pay 27500 for hostel and Mess fee. These number changes according to batch like it will be different for 2018 batch. You can take loan for fee, there are also two banks available in campus for that(SBI, Canara). There are scholarships available for SC/ST candidate, they don't have to pay or pay less tuition fee with respect to their income. There are scholarships by state government also( Ex. Campus Placement for this year are not so good for core branches ( Because of Corona). But there is good placement in IT. There will be plenty of companies visiting campus just you as a candidate need skills.
