The admission here consists of various activities such as merit list generation, marks and document verification, branch counselling and admission confirmation. The most important thing in the admission process of this college is that the whole process goes with full discipline.

I choose B.Com in Human Resource because I was more likely to go into the hr field. There are 65 students in class and we have 4 subjects handled by 4 different faculties. All the faculties are well trained and educated. The term exam we held every 6 months without fail.

Class Size: 350Course Fees: INR 21000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Many financially backward students get admission on basis of their marks and scholarship are also available for them. Free books are also provided so that they don't have to face the difficulty of buying books.

Campus Life

Every year annual sports week is held and it is for 1 week. Moreover, we have NSS and NCC. We too have Inter-College Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Cricket, Football and Handball team. In sports, our college is at the top of the list.

The college i study in is very good

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nothing influenced my decision to choose this course. I just wanted to choose this course for fun, to be honest. the curriculum rarely prepares us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits but whenever it does it would be very beneficial for the students. Held frequent inspections in the college so that they can improve themselves and the teaching method should be in a friendly and more comprehensive way. The exam timings are perfect along with the perspective of their difficulty level.

Gauhati Commerce College : A premier Institution for Conmerce Education with Evolving Opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, nothing specific has influenced me in the decision to choose this course that is BCOM as most of these student after passing shoes, so I also opt to BCOM. Well, the curriculum does not fully prepare the students for real world applications or further academic pursuits. They does not provide any practical knowledge or any kind of internship to the students for the real world. Well, according to me, they should provide some internship or something related to practical knowledge. This improvements are very necessary. The frequency and timing of exams is very low like within four months the university tries to complete the whole semester, and it's very hard to complete the whole syllabus within just four months.

1. Honestly I wanted to apply for this college as because of reside on dibrugarh so I wanted to go to a college in dibrugarh so by the grace of God I got to read in this college. I heard a lot of things about this college from everyone including my parents and even grandparents which made me to choose this college and it is active culturally and academically. 2. I didn't got kind of rejection but I didn't wanted to make it to other colleges as I live with my mother and brother in dibrugarh so I didn't wanted to leave them and go to other place so I want to get into a college in dibrugarh. This is the reason. 3.So regarding the admission process it is under merit based so no exams are conducted.Only the percentage of H.S is seen and accordingly if the percentage is upto the cutoff mark given by the college then admission is confirmed otherwise if the percentage is below the cutoff then admission can't be taken .For science stream cut offs are usually more i.e 70 percent and above and for arts stream it is slightly less....Read More
