Remarks
I applied for this college alone and got a seat here. I applied for BE in mechanical engineering. When I joined the cutoff was around 180. Since, I am from another state I didn't go through many admission procedures.
Course Curriculum Overview
Being an autonomous institute, SVCE has a student-centric curriculum that allows us to take interdisciplinary courses and has the flexibility of dropping or adding movable courses in a semester. The curriculum and the syllabus are designed in such a way that we have only one subject in the eighth semester, which is a movable one and can be completed in the previous semester itself thereby having no subjects left in the last semester so that we can concentrate on Project work and internships. About 16 out of 28 of our department faculties are doctorates others also have high qualifications in their respective fields.
Internships Opportunities
They support us to get internships as it is mandatory to complete an internship to complete the degree apart from that in the third year we get internship opportunities from core companies based on the performance during the internship, jobs are also offered by the companies.
Placement Experience
Our college offers campus placement opportunities for the students who want to get placed and the students who which to do Higher studies are also helped with recommendation letters and other admission related procedures. Alumni of our college also help us to get a seat at a good University
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee with additional charges comes to around 112000 rupees which do not include food and transportation. Various scholarships are available for different departments offered by different companies and trusts apart from that college management offers scholarships for first rank holders I am one of the awardees of such scholarship.
Campus Life
The campus has essential facilities like libraries with thousands of books of different streams. We have well-equipped labs and classrooms. A stationery store is also available on campus. It has an operating branch of Indian Bank inside the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is neither good nor bad. We are provided with sufficient fans and light. Each room can accommodate two students and each of them is provided with their own cupboard, study table, and a chair. A cot is provided for each student bed has to be brought by the student.
