Review of my college

I applied for Kongu Engineering College, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology and Velalar College of Engineering and technology. I chose Velalar College of Engineering and technology because I can't adapt to hostels and for Kongu engineering college I am not eligible and my college offers me a scholarship and it would be helpful for me as well as a transport facility is also available for my home town. Yeah, I am eligible for the first graduate scholarship sponsored by the Tamilnadu government. The students who are the first members in their family who are first stepping into a degree can apply for the scholarship. I don't know about the age limit but the mark limit will depend upon the overall rank of yours and based on your cutoff. We are the first batch whose counselling process was held on online mode. They split the applicants into 5 groups based on their cutoff marks. I came under 3rd batch.

Basically, I am interested in programming, so I chose computer science engineering. There are around 30 staffs including teaching and non-teaching staffs. Each class has one advisor and mentor and each student has one tuitor. Most of the faculties are doctorate and the teaching method will differ from person to person but the delivery of the content is good as well as their only thought is to make the student understand the concept. They often conduct MCQs in an amazing manner through khakoot or some other interesting applications. Usually, a semester consists of 4 internals and in the case of practicals, they conduct model practical. Internals will conduct in an interval of a month. The exam is quite difficult to pass and the proctoring method is also strict if there is any case of malpractice the student will be punished accordingly.

On completing the sixth semester all the willing students can participate except those who are not having backlogs. They will attend the interview on the basis of each and every countries criterion. Nearly, fifteen to twenty companies will visit our campus, but unfortunately due to this pandemic situation, the number of companies visiting our campus has dropped to ten to twelve. The packages differ from company to company. The maximum package offered will be around 4 lakhs to 5 lakhs per year. Mostly seventy percentage of a student of total candidates who is attending the placement will be hired by the company. Those who are good in programming skills will easily be placed. On completing my undergraduate degree in computer science and engineering I will try both government jobs as well as IT jobs. But I was much interested in getting my professional job.

We have to pay a fee once a semester and an exam fee of each semester exam and additional transport fees or hostel fees that includes mess bill too. The cost for education is nearly 70,000 per year. Fortunately, I got a scholarship 'Virutcham Thittam' sponsored by Sakthi Masala Arakattalai, they don't offer this opportunity for everyone they are having some criteria, students who come under these criteria are eligible to apply for the scholarship. My college select particular students who are eligible for the scholarship and they will conduct an exam too for selecting a candidate. Yearly, they will sponsor 10 to 20 students in my college I didn't have a piece of knowledge while they are sponsoring in other colleges. As I was a third-year student, I didn't place in any company still. The placements will start on completing my 3rd year.

They will conduct Annual Day, sports day, inter-department meet and Intra department meeting. The Annual day and The sports Day will conduct in the month of March. The inter and Intra department meets will conduct in the month of February. In addition to this, every department has a student association, they will conduct the Intra department meeting. The Intra department meeting will consist of technical and non-technical event. Our library consists of all materials needs for students education and an enormous amount of interesting novels and journals. Every classroom consists of a projector facility and a smart board and including all the basic needs for a classroom. They will allow us to participate in competitions. I also participated in the throw ball match centesis held at SNS institute of technology, Coimbatore. There are clubs like an eco club, Rotract club, NSS club, student association, English literary association and green club.
