Decent placements and Life changing college life

The admission process was very handy as admission incharge was himself going from student to student helping to fill forms and number wise submission, But it was time consuming as the students enrolling for all NITs from M.P were needed to appear in MANIT for registration purposes. Hostel allotment and Registration was too easy as M.Tech seniors were available too to help juniors complete process within limited period of time.

3 exams are conducted per semester, Mini Exams, Mid Terms and Final Semester examination. Mini are conducted in-class hours and are just like simple class tests. With 20% syllabus. Teachers are PhD from IITs and Even foreign universities. Try to keep respecting them as they get offended very soon. If teachers are respected they offer immense knowledge for subjects and help alot. Stick with professors and phd undergraduates. They help with practicals and vivas quite alot. HODs and Deans are strict and even warden can be annoying sometimes. Overall faculties are great.

Recently Microsoft and JPMC offered research intern and software developer intern. A company like ServiceNow and Zomato also took interns from their final years with PPOs and they worked on several projects under them.

Internships are offered by the college from the 3rd year and by the beginning of the 4th year, placements start to come. Many giant companies like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, JPMC visits college and provide good placements to undergraduates. Most of the time Microsoft and Nutanics too offer the highest packages to students and provide good internships. The percentage of students placed is always above 70% and other students opt for higher studies or government examinations. I will be trying to prepare for interviews with FAANG to get experience and then build a startup of my own to push my limits.

The fees structure for all NITs and IITs is almost similar. It is divided into 3 Categories. One for above 5 lakh income, And it's about 1 lakh per semester consisting of Hostel, Mess and Tution fees. Other is 1-5 lakh of income families that is about 55k per semester consisting of Mess, Hostel and Tution and last is for below 1 lakh income and SC/ST students that are about 30k for mess and hostel and tution fees is NIL. Bank easily offers student loan for students, and State wise scholarships are also available like MMVY for Madhya Pradesh students offering tution fees coverage by the government for Medhavi students.

Two annual fests are major ones. One is a cultural fest and another is a technical fest. The technical fest is named techno search and the cultural fest is named Maffick. Both are huge fest in central India and are appreciated by many other college students as well. They are mostly of 3-4 days consisting of events from all cultural and technical clubs offering workshops and events and hackathons for knowledge gaining and leadership building.

For the first-year students, it's a three occupancy per room in hostel 10 C and D block, APJ Abdul Kalam hostel. For DASA students it's different. The room was small but yet manageable to live in. Three single beds with 2 almirahs are provided, It gets comfortable if roommates are understanding. There is also a balcony in every room and the hostel has features like Table tennis, a TV hall, and a place to play little sports in. For sports, there is a nearby sports complex which has all facilities and equipment for sports and games/gym. Food quality is acceptable it tastes ok but it is cooked with hygiene. We can even go and watch them cooking. Kitchens in hostel 10 are too hygienic.
