G TANVI's Review On Vignan's Institute Of Engineering For Women, Visakhapatnam

Firstly I've acquired a rank of 40,000 in EAMCET 2020. After that I've opted for the following colleges in counseling: 1. JNTUK 2. Shri Vishnu engineering College (Bhimavaram) 3. Vignan Institute of information technology 4. Vignan Institute of engineering for women ( Visakhapatnam) The admission criteria for this program is based on EAMCET rank and age is above 17-18. So after I've got a seat in the college, I was asked to come and report in the college with the required documents and after all the 3 rounds of the counseling, I got into that college.

I have a little interest in computers and my father said Computer science and engineering will be helpful for you because it is a course that will have a massive growth in future and will give you good opportunities. Most of the faculty are well qualified and good. They understand the students and teach accordingly. If there's any doubt about the particular topic they'll repeat the topic and make sure we understand it. For each semester we'll have two mid examinations and one final semister exam. The gap for each exam is one month. I know it's less but they're trying to complete the first year in six months because we've lost a lot of time due to the pandemic.

As you see I'm a first-year student and I don't know about which companies have come and roles offered under internships with stipend. As per the information from my seniors, there will be projects and internships where you have to stay well focused and do it for a specific period of time.

From the third year first semester, the students become eligible for campus placement where they can do internships and also get placed in a good company on their own. Our college offers good placements. In the previous year , the maximum no. of our seniors got placed in campus drives. The highest salary package offered in the previous year was 19 Lakhs per annum. 90% of the students got placed in good companies like Amazon, TCS, Accenture Microsoft, Excel, etc. The minimum package is 2LPA. Our college also provides CRT classes, which helps students to get placed with highest package. My plans after achieving my degree is to do MBA in a good college or go abroad and do MS

The fee structure varies among different branches. For my branch i.e CSE the fee per year is 42,000 and it's pretty reasonable. We do have a lot of scholarships.

There were one or two tech fests conducted not more than that because you know we're the pandemic batch we are having currently having online classes going on. So bad luck we didn't have any major fests. Coming to the availability of books in the library. There are playing of books in the library. We can borrow them from the library and read them. We do have good classrooms with huge, airy classrooms with cross aeration and natural light. Sad thing is that we have playgrounds and sports equipment but we don't have sports period. As I've already we are having online classes, we are playing at home haha. Sorry but we don't have any social website for students

Coming to facilities in the hostel rooms, there are four persons for a room and in every room, the students are of the same branch. The rooms are pretty well cleaned and good. There is one attached washroom for each room and separate locked cupboards. The taste of the meals are average. The fee of the hostel was 75000 for every year and there is a well-maintained play area where we can play sports in the evening. The registration process for a hostel is first we were asked to pay an amount of 20000 and the rest of the amount later.
