Great private university especially for engineering.

I applied for upes Dehradun also and got selected but when I compared, the fees of upes was very high as compared to chitkara whereas placements are about the same. Admissions are based on jee mains percentile every year but in 2020, as jee was late, we got admissions based on our +2 percentage. I have opted for BE, CSE and the faculty are placements for this course are great here. The admission process was quite smooth. There was no counselling due to covid guidelines in 2020 for us.

I opted for Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science Engineering as I was always interested in the subject since childhood. The faculty-student ratio here is great and the faculty itself is very good and helpful. Most of the faculty have high qualifications (like masters or PhD) and the teaching methods are great even in these tough times when we have to be taught online. My tern exams were a bit late from usual because all the colleges started late for the batch of 2020 but that's not an issue.

The college also provides internships in different companies and if you want, you can avail yourself of internships outside the campus also. Companies also provide a stipend for internships and it totally depends upon the student, skills and abilities.

Students are eligible for placements as soon as they begin with their 6th semester. Most of the MNCs come for placements like google, amazon, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, etc and almost all students get placed in one or the other company. After getting the degree, I am willing to continue my job for some time before my masters.

The fees for the program that I opted for is 82,000 per semester or 1,64,000 per year that is fixed and the hostel fees depend upon many things like how many people share the room, ac or non-ac, whether you opt for laundry and mess, etc. and is subject to rising every year by a certain percent. The college does not provide any scholarship but you can give third party scholarship exams if you want to.

Tech event and fests are held every now and then in the college. There are many societies on the campus both paid and free, even international like ACM and IEEE that you can join if you like to participate or organise any type of regularly held cultural and tech activities or events. Most of the books that you need regarding the course are available in the campus library where you can issue from. Classrooms are air conditioned and well maintained with a good environment to study. Almost all kinds of indoor and outdoor sports are available on campus.

In the hostel, you get a bed(2 to 4 as per your demands) with mattress (bring your pillow, bedsheets and blankets), ac or water cooler as your demands, a cupboard with a reliable lock(one for each), study tables(one for each). The hostel mess(if you opt for it) is great, provides vegetarian food and 4 meals a day i.e., breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. the quality of food is good. The registration for a hostel is held when you arrive in the campus. It is a quick and easy procedure and the hostel is quite affordable.
