All about TJIT . Review/Course/Placments/Fees

I got to this college through KCET. My rank was above 100000. In 1st round, I got to some other college which was too far from my place. But in the 2nd round, I got a seat in this College for B.E ISE branch. I didn't apply for any quota, my seat was allotted in the general category itself. The admission process went on well, not a lengthy process. I submitted all the documents required and got admitted to the college.

I chose PCMC in my PUC and I was looking to opt for CS/ISE Engineering course in the future. So after my PUC, I selected Information Science Engineering. The faculty and student ratio in this college is well proportionate, it's about 1:20. The college has some really well-expirenced faculties. We will have 3 internal assessments, each having an interval of 1 month. And 1 final exam at the end of the semester. Exam papers will be strictly corrected by the VTU board.

Well, the college offers decent placements. The placement drive starts from the 7th semester. About 50-60% of the students get placed. Students get placed in a decent/normal company with a basic package. The highest package was around 8 lac per annum. The college conducts many placement training sessions and classes. Companies that come for placement drives are INFOSYS, TECH Mahindra, IBM, Mind Tree.

I got a seat through KCET which cost me around 98000/- (60000 was the board fee and 28000 was the college fee). The fee structure for management quota is in the range of 1.25lac-1.4lac depending upon the branch you select. The college provides 2 installments to pay the fees. We should apply for the scholarship from outside, then the college verifies and approves it. The most applied scholarship is Karepass/SSP scholarship.

The college encourages all kinds of extracurricular activities. The main annual fest will be conducted in an even semester. College also conducts small cultural programs on special occasions. Inter-college sports will be held. The college has all kinds of outdoor sports but it lacks indoor sports. Also, the college has many clubs which help in developing creative skills. Main Clubs: Arts, Technical, Photography and Videography, Nature Club, etc. Even I'm a member of the Photography and Videography Club. It has a good library. It also has one main canteen(cafeteria) and 2 refreshment stores on campus. The College campus is very large consisting of all sports grounds. Well, a good place to be in.
