I applied for Government Polytechnic college (kancharapalam) but as I didn't get the minimum rank in the entrance exam, I didn't get a seat there. During admissions, I was chosen by my entrance exam rank, for getting a seat in counseling, the minimum rank of entrance exam is 90000 rank, I got 83,000 & hence selected in counseling for my college. On counseling day it is a big rush and all students of our district will attend government Polytechnic college for the counseling process. Once the certificate verification is done we can choose collages that we like online.

I've liked electrical equipment since I was a child & I choose this course. The faculty & student ratio is 1:30. The faculty of my college had the minimum qualification of B-tech or M-tech Depending on the kind of subject. Mostly the teaching of faculty is good with most of the faculty. For every 6 months, we have exams & pass or fail depending on our study because the way of examination is very strict.

TECH MAHINDRA offered an internship in college & offered the mechanical & electrical engineer role with a stipend of 9000/month. Projects are one of the interesting things, I love in my college. We also had a science fest with nearly 2000+ projects.

Only final year or last semester students are eligible for campus placements that depend on backlogs of the previous semesters. ISUZU, TECH MAHINDRA, PHYZER, INFOTECH, HITACHI, HOSPIRA, HBL, JINDAL steel & power. Mostly the average package is 12000Rs/month & the highest is 40000Rs/month depending on the role or the percentage & attitude of the student. The minimum percentage for placement is 65%. 30%-45% of students will get selected for campus placements. My plan was to pursue higher education.

Actually, the Polytechnic fee is totally paid by the government but the extra fees are depending on the private college. My college is one of the top private colleges in my district they will charge an extra fee in name of the building funds (lab fee, records, library..) I got selected for phyzer with a stipend of 8000rs but due to its a pharma company, I denied it.

Most of the annual fest names are SAI Ganapathi polytechnic Fest but for any other tech fest, the name is such as Mega-Tech Fest, Sport-tech fest, science tech fest. They are conducted in December or January. Coming to the library, it has most of all course books, newspapers, previous question papers, computers. There will be an in-charge of the library who verifies the student Id while entry and exit also. Classrooms are well-maintained every day. Sports cricket, volleyball, basketball, kabbadi, shuttle are conducted in 4 different sports grounds. There is a Facebook group where most of the new developments will be published by our students.
