Remarks
I applied at Jabalpur Engineering College CSE Branch. I couldn't get the CSE branch because of my low JEE Main score. so, I got admission to Gyan Ganga(GGITS) Jabalpur. For the CSE branch in GGITS, it was 65 percentile in JEE Mains and 60% in 12th class and for JEC it was above 95 percentile in jee with a minimum of 75% in 12th class. The admission process was through MP counseling in which we had to fill preferred college and branch.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course( B.Tech CSE) because of my interest in computers and programming. In CSE we have 3 sections each contains 60-70 students and each section has different faculty for different subjects. All faculty members are either M.Tech or Ph.D. In each semester there are two midterm exams and one end-term exam. It is easy to pass the midterm exam if you study a day before the exam and for the end-term exam you need to study 15 days before the exam.
Placement Experience
Few MNCs like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro are likely to visit our college during campus placement. The average package is around 3.2 LPA. In 2021 a student got selected in cisco with a CTC of 18 LPA which was the highest package of the 2021 batch. Some students also got off-campus offers from companies like Amazon, Infosys.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for each semester are Rs.31000 it is constant for every semester. If you opt for the bus facility you need to pay 12000 per year.
Campus Life
Every year tech feast happens in the month of January-February. I attended the college feast in 2020 and it was fun there were many stalls and fun activities and we also enjoyed DJ Night. You can issue books from the library for each semester. Our college campus has a basketball court and football ground there are many fun tournaments during tech fest. For each skill like coding, singing, and dancing there is a separate club run by our seniors.
