BCA facility in Kanoria Girls College

Kanoria gives out an admission list on the basis of cut off but since the year and last it had offered first come first serve. There is councelling available during the admission process where the staff helps the students regarding queries and also tells about additional programs to enroll in.

I had opted for Bachelors in Computer Application (BCA) . What I can tell about the teaching is that the staff is quite particular about the studies and discipline. We have computer labs as our classrooms (1st and 2nd year) and the teaching schedule is regular with practical training. Exams are also conducted as practice before the Final University exam. Also, there is no attendance bar.

Not many internship opportunities are provided. Consider you are on your own. However, some companies like Genpact do make an appearance. The roles offered might be general with little or no stipend. I have received no such intership opportunity from my specialized course. However, there are a lot of webinars conducted by the BCA department where you can interact with people from different institutions. If you are counting for a college with placement or intership opportunities I recommend not to invest your money here.

The fees for BCA is higher than other courses offered here. It costs around 27000-30000 per year. Ofcourse it is less than compared to private colleges. There is not much difference in fee structure than that in Maharani College. Yes, there are some scholarship facilities depending upon the percentage/ income criteria of the student.

The infrastructure is not very pleasing. The swimming pools exist just for the sake of appearance. Although the library is good. Annual fest Kasturi is celebrated around December. The sports engagement is quite good. Not an excellent choice if you are looking for a place to enjoy your college social life.
