About Loyola-College, Chennai

I have also been applied for st. Joseph, Trichy but when I came to know that I also selected for Loyola college, Chennai then I fixed that I want to join Loyola College, Chennai. I got government-aided (shift 1) because of the mark and my religion. There is no age limit for the program and Loyola is most famous for the commerce department so we need at least 85% above in the 12th exam. In Loyola admission process is too long it will take full one day (we need patience). 1)They will send you a call letter to your given mail id on any particular day to visit the college for admission. 2) After went to college they will give you tokens and they will separate as a batch. 3) We won't wait for their next call (we should have to ready with over required documents) and the ward will ask to fill the application and documents alone. 4) They will conduct an interview regarding your department which you suppose to choose. 5) And finally we are asked to pay the fee for the course. And they will provide I'd card.

I personally want to become a CFA charted so I want to complete a Bachelor's degree in a related field.so I choose B.com in Loyola college, Chennai. In our commerce department in Loyola, every faculty has good knowledge about the subject and they will be friendly so we can clarify our doubt at any time. They will also give some extra importance to the slow pick-up students. In our class, we have 80 students which are large no. Of persons but our professors will give Equal importance to everyone. Maximum Faculties are completed Ph.D. in a specific field and they are excellent in teaching with good experience. Our Faculties used to teach with normal board and projects with PPT, Documents, Tally and speech videos too. Semester examination is followed in Loyola college, Totally 6 semesters for B.com course. Each semester will conduct with 6 month period once. It is not easy to pass. We have internals and externals for each semester and both contain 50% weightage. More than 40/100 is the passing rate.

Our college provides an international conference for the students and internships also. I have attended only one international conference and it is very good and knowledgeable and gives more experience about the conference. And every college students also give the opportunity to attend the internship and international conference too.

I have not completed college so I don't know more about the college internship and placements. But for placements more top companies of Chennai and from India are willing to come and give a good job for the students before completing graduation.

Loyola will provide scholarships for low cast students and suffering students who have a poor background. Loyola college itself has LSSS to help the poor students and low cast students and single-parent students too.

Loyola gives you more opportunities to show your talents. Loyola provides a peaceful, beautiful environment on campus. Loyola will always conduct many events for the students in that every student is given the opportunity to bring out their talents. Loyola has its own library Which is older and largest in Chennai. Library contents mani novels and journals and subject-oriented books. The library opens daily morning at 8 am and closes at 8 pm. Library active time is 12 hours. It will help many students to study and improve their knowledge too. Loyola is best as well as in sports also it has separate ground for cricket, hockey, football and volleyball, and basketball also. Loyola conducts sports events every one year within the department. Loyola contains more than 15 Clubs namely NSS, NCC, DANCE, FM, photography clubs, and extra. This club teaches every student about social awareness and gives them an opportunity to execute their talents in extracurricular activities.

The hostel contains a good natural environment. The hostel is classified into two logos 1 and logo 2. In logo 1 for one room, three students will be staying together providing three beds and one table, and one switch box. For a one-year room, the rental fee is 25,000 and monthly mess fees. Logo 2 for one room 2 students providing 2 beds and 2 tables and one ceiling fan and one switch box too. It contains 100000 for year including the mess fees. The hostel also has a club to give social awareness to students and many events will be conducted in hostel also. And many festivals have also been celebrated in the hostel. DJ nights and drama show will be also conducted for refreshment for students. Hostel food will be so good as in-home hostel have 3 types of Mess one is a vegetarian and non-vegetarian and metro mess(Northern food). The mess fee depends on the mess which we have chosen. PG students also been provided hostel as like UG.
