Amazing college days

I took the JEE Main exam and I scored 124 out of 360, which got me a rank of about 87k all over India. I opted for this particular college because this was the best option available to me, also it is a Goverment autonomous university. It had the Mechanical and Automation Branch which I've always been interested in.

The curriculum is quite good, they make us study almost every possible subject related to our trade and also others like human values and professional ethics which promote our overall development as an individual. However, I feel that a little more emphasis on practical knowledge that just rote learning would be better for us.

Yes, our college does provide internships, though interns do not get a stipend. Companies like Maruti, TVS, Intuit, etc. provide us internships.

The placements and job opportunities are good with respect to the Mechanical and Automation Branch. Lots of automobile companies like Maruti, Tech Mahindra, Honda, TVS, General Motors etc. offer jobs to students from our college for packages ranging between 4 to 9 lakh rupees.

There are many cultural and technical fests in our college: 1. Taarangana - The Annual Cultural Fest of IGDTUW: Witnesses participation from colleges all over Delhi and NCR and is done on a larger scale each year. 2. Innerve - The Annual Technical Fest of IGDTUW: Hosts a plethora of technical events for tech enthusiasts all over the city. 3. Other societies like the Rotaract Club, TedX IGDTU, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Enactus etc. continuously organise events all over the year,

The fee structure is very feasible for a government college, our annual fees is Rs. 60,000 which is less than most of the private/government technical institutions.

Campus life is great, though the ratio is not something to worry about, it's an all women's institution, but we do have our share of fun and bliss inspite of the an all girl's environment. The campus is shared with that of Ambedkar University, so wee have students from technical and non technical and art's background in the same campus and we also get to interact a lot during fest time.

The exam structure is a bit hectic because of two sets of minors and one major exam per semester, but I feel it's beneficial for us since we do not have to cram up the whole syllabus at the end of the semester and there are continuous tests to help us know our level of knowledge,

The faculty is knowledgeable and resourceful, and they're willing to help students in whatever possible way. They constantly try to clear our doubts and are very supportive.
