Patna College - Oxford of the East

I have applied for only Patna college. I am NC OBC . So the cutoff of obc was 42 out of 100 in Economics. I had got 46 marks and got admitted in Economics course. Students from any background can get admission. If there is any vacant seat then next cutoff lost would get release.

I had chosen this course because there is lots of scope after doing BA in Economics. You can go for MBA, MA etc. There is about 4-5 facilities in each departments. Some of the faculties has phd from Delhi University and itself from Patna University also.one of faculty Prof. Siddharth Bhardwaj has got prize in Economics from Nitish Kumar.You will have to give sent up exam before each term . You would easily passed the exam if you would completed previous 4-5 years paper. You would easily get previous year question bank in front of college.

You would get opportunity to get intern in internshala. The stipend will be according to your performance. You would have to complete some task their like accounting , work related to MS Excel etc. You will get atleast certificate for internship.

From last year students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like utkarsh small finance bank , Wipro visit our campus. In my batch , 20 student got placed. The average package offered was 15K per month and highest package offered was 25K per month. About 20% student had got placed. My plan is to get into reputed instution like iim, fms for MBA.

It would cost about 10k for your 3 year course. There is no scholarship. Companies like Wipro, Utkarsh small financial bank visit our campus. They offer salary in the range of 15-20K per month. They mostly give the role of clerk, supervisor, marketing officer.

Annual sports programme is conducted in our college. There is also some conducted time to time. You will all the book of your courses from Central library of Patna University. You would also get to know about different journals there. Air conditioner is available in Central library. You will get one Ro filter in our college.
