Glimpse of IGDTUW

I had heard about IGDTUW by reading an article in the newspaper. The article was for DTU, NSUT and IGDTUW college admission. I applied for the college by simply filling the form. I was not really expecting that I will go to this college. As I have applied for other colleges also. Then at last when the time came for admission I opted for the college. My first choice was DTU but due to less percentage in class 12th, I could not get admission there, and moreover, I am outside the Delhi category so seats were also fewer, then I choose IGDTUW because it also has a hostel facility as it is a girls college.

I pursued BBA, as I want to become an entrepreneur. For which I will go for MBA, but graduation, I thought why not go with basic first and BBA is more inclined about business. That's why I have chosen this course. As it is a girl student, the environment is very safe. The college is reputed for its engineering course and placement. As my batch is the second batch of BBA, so this course will slowly take its position like engineering in the college. Most of the faculty are guest faculty but all of them are well educated and qualified and they are all expert in their subject. There is 6 semester in BBA. 2 semester in 1 year each semester consist of the mid-semester and one end term. Currently, because of the pandemic, everything is going online.

The fees of the college are the same as any other college that is 70000 per year excluding hostel and mess charges. that charges are different. So I think the fees are ok. And I don't know about any scholarship because I am a general category student but there are many different types of scholarship available and the teacher encourages me to take benefits from them.

College is full of socities, I am also a part of many socities. Tauranga is the main cultural fest of our college it is very popular among the students of Delhi. Many celebrities and comedies have come to our fest. As we all know because of the pandemic every school and college are closed when our college conducted the fest online and it was a successful event. I went to my college campus, the college was small but nice, there is a canteen, library bank on the campus. All details are available on the official site of the college.

I went to a hostel just for 15 days. But it was a nice experience. There are 2 hostels on the campus for girls. The food quality is really good in the hostel and 2 days in a week non-veg is also served for those who eat. The fees are fine according to me. The campus is located in Kashmere Gate, Delhi. And priority for the hostel is given to the outside Delhi category, for that you have to fill the form and submit it. After that, the list comes then only you are alloted a room in the hostel. There is every facility given in hostels like refrigerator, micro ovenz, induction, washing machine and many more. Overall hostel life is good there.
