My College "Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology"

I applied for Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology in 2017 and took admission through the counseling process. The admission criteria are candidate should have 60% and above in 10th and 12th and if the candidate is taking admission directly without counseling then he/she has to give an aptitude test of 30 minutes to get in. Lateral entry is also available for the candidates having 60% and above in diploma in engineering and for B.Sc. graduate.

I chose the course because there is broad scope in IT industry and I always wanted to become software developer. Faculty:Student ratio is good since there is well experienced and highly qualified teachers who are expert in their subjects and very kind and supportive. Most of the faculties are M.Tech. and Ph.D holders with experience of 8-10 years. Assignments and Class Tests are conducted on every 15 days and a month and difficulty level is moderate since teachers makes the subject and syllabus very easy to understand so that students can score well in internal and university exams.

Various jobs and internship opportunity are provided by Institute itself specific to different departments and roles, average stipends are provided approximately of 12-15k per month. Projects and Startups are also given funds and promotions by the college.

After 5th-semester students start sitting for the placements. More than 150+ companies visit the campus among which TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro, and many more are there and more than 900 offers are made. The highest package is up to 26 LPA and the average package is 3.6 LPA. 98% of the students get placed. My plan after getting a degree is to do a job in TCS as a software developer.

There is no fee hike policy as such and students will get U.P. Scholarship if he/she belongs to U.P. only. Yes, the institute provides financial assistance to those students who lie under certain eligibility. I am placed in two big MNC first is Tata Consultancy Service and the second is Capgemini with a package of 3.8 LPA.

Ignitia "The Youth Fest" is the annual fest of PSIT, where students get the opportunity to showcase their talent and learn various technologies by taking participation in different programs like workshops of ML,IOT, Robotics, various quiz competition related to current affairs, general science, and on latest technologies, hackathons are also conducted on different skills so that students get the feel of what they have learned during the course, singing and dancing competitions. There is also exposure to different sports activities like football, tennis, racing, etc. Various clubs are also here few named are Uthaan "The Social Awareness Club", Prayas "The Eco Club", Logix "The Algorithm Club", Bastion "The English Club" and many more. Special guests and celebrities are also invited to encourage the students and make the fest more vibrant.
