Remarks
I have only applied at Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences-[JIMS] Vasant Kunj 2 because it has a decent faculty, environment, and placement criteria. I had no quota for admission and applied as an open candidate. The college holds its own internal entrance examination for individual courses and evaluation criteria for selection. Applying candidates should have completed the necessary education as per the course for which they have applied. Counselling provides an overview regarding the courses, faculty, facilities, and placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to choose a professional course in the field of IT sector therefore I chose BCA. There was an even faculty-student ratio. The faculty are either Ph.D. holders or they had completed their minimum requirements to be a lecturer. Screen Projectors were often used to present the lectures. Internal and Final examination takes place twice within every semsters with an average level of difficulty.
Placement Experience
After completing the 5th semester (BCA) our classmates were eligible for campus placements. They had offer letters from decent companies like TCS, Amazon. Around an average package of 2-4 lacs per annum for various profiles. Training in new technologies for the students was also suggested (under BCA). Placed students were having 75-80% marks. I wanted to pursue a master's after getting a bachelor's degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite affordable for those who can spend a good amount on their studies. I was not aware of the scholarship details but my classmates had an offer letter from TCS at the end of the course.
Campus Life
In association with its other branches, the college holds a tech-fest naming 'CYNET' and cultural fest 'Annual Fest' every year. The library consists of an adequate amount of books for every course and branch. There were adequate resources available in each classroom. Inter-college sports events also took place annually.
