Indeed a good college.

No, I didn't apply in any other colleges. I prefer this college because it was very near. No, I don't have any quota, I belong to the general cast. For admission into this college one student should get atleast 45-50% in 12 th standard by taking physics, chemistry, biology and maths as their main subject, also he/she should get rank in ojee Or neet entrance. And aslo he should be above 18 years of age. For the counseling process we have to fill up one counseling form, there we have to select a college according to our choice and other documents which should be required is 10 th, 12th standard certificate, residential certificate, birth certificate, and ojee Or jee rank card printout. This document is verified in the day of counseling at the nodal Centre. After that, the admission process begins at the college which we have chosen.

I choose this course because my interest is in research on medicine, so I found this course fulfilling my interest. This course is of four years and in each year there is 60+ student. Due to the increase in a number of students during admission the management has increased the student seat to 100.Now in the upcoming year the student ratio is little bit more as compared to that the faculty ratio is quiet equal. The college has appointed 15+ faculties to counteract the student ratio. All the faculty members are well educated and having the qualification of completing bachelor, masters and phd. The teaching method if every faculty are quiet appreciated. They try every possible method to make the student understand, sometimes they teacher through projector showing us ppt and videos on the related topic and aslo by demonstrating small experiments. As it is a four yr. course it consist of 8 sem. In each yr two sem & before each sem two internals of 30 each. The sem mark is 75 under bput.

As of now,I'm in 3 rd year we get a chance of going to the pharma industry for the internship after giving 6 th semester exam, but due to the pandemic, everything is paused and moreover all the project work we get in 4 th year which is yet to come.

Students become eligible for campus placement, once they come to 4th yr. That is 7 th sem. Macleod's and some other companies have visited our college and made more offers in QA, QC and f&d dept. After getting selected in the placement they offer a starting package of rupees 12,000 per month, then with an increment based on the scales and performances. Out of 60 students 10-15 students are getting qualified in the placements. My plan after getting a degree is to approach the company through placement or else directly into that company. Otherwise, if I get qualified in G-Pat ,Nipper, Net then I would be pursuing masters outside Odisha in a highly reputed college providing more opportunities for my future.

During admission the total cost fee is 80,000 /-per year , from the 2nd year the fee is 70,000 /- and one can pay through installment. For the student who had applied for the tfw (tution fee waiver) scheme. At the time of counseling their fee is 24,000 /- per yr during admission and later there will be a reduction in tution fees and students has to pay 18,000/- per yr. There is no scholarship for general students. Students belonging to the reserved quota can apply for the scholarship which is under the government ( one such website is Prerna). As I am a third yr student I didn't get any chance to sit for the placement yet, but what we heard from seniors that Mackleods pharmaceutical limited. comes to our college for placement in production for QA and QC departments.

There is a highly precise library in our college, the books are arranged systematically. Here we can get books of renowned authors ( Indian and foreign). Many journals are also available by famous writers which will help us when while pursuing phd and master's The student also get a chance to sit in the library and study if they want. All types of pharmacy entrance books are also available with ease. The classroom is big enough to accommodate 100 students at a time. The chairs and desks are well arranged. Yes, we organize freshers and farewell parties in which everyone actively participates and the fest is also there. Our college also celebrates National pharmacy day, Ganesh puja, teachers' day, and many more, in which we used to have lots of fun. Yes, we had an official college group on Facebook, in which teachers share all types of jobs and internship opportunities for students, and also our student can become a member of all Odisha but pharmacy council association.
