Harshprit Kumar's Review On Sagar Institute Of Research And Technology - [SIRT], Bhopal

With 81.3 percentile, I had applied to Nits but didn't get any seats. So, I heard about private colleges in Bhopal, and after listing so many colleges, I got SIRT as my college. As I am a resident of Bihar, I got my class as unreserved (UR) in the registration of MP online form which conducts the counseling process in MP. There was a cutoff over Jee Mains Rank and also according to the reservation. Cutoff for Unreserved/General category was upto 5 lakh rank, and approx. all category was about 9 lakh rank.

I had opted for Computer Science & Engineering as there is a placement guarantee in this branch and it is also in trend for several years. Also, i have a keen interest in Android Development so i had chosen this branch. In SIRT, almost all faculties are either DR. or prof. holders and they have such great knowledge, and also they complete their works on time. In every sem, after one month, there is a mid sem 1 test which is quite easy and after 1.5 months after this, we have to give PUT which is intermediate hard, and after this we gave our final exams i.e., End Sem exams.

After the ending of the 6th sem, students start getting placed and almost 95% of students of CSE will be got placed in the 8th sem. Companies like BYJU's, TCS, Annexure, Capgemini, and many small companies come here for placements. The average package is about Rs. 3.5 lakhs and the highest package is about Rs.16 lakhs. Last year the highest package was Rs.10 lakhs from BYJU's which hired 4 students.

RS. 74,000 is the fee structure for CSE students in SIRT, there is a quota of TFW ( Tuition Fee Wavier ) for MP students only for about 20 students in which they have to give only Rs. 22,000 per year which includes free Bus Services. And for the rest of the students if you also want to include bus services then you have to give Rs. 12,000 extra but its your choice of choosing it or not. TFW Students - Rs. 12,000 per year Other Students - Rs. 74,000 per year Students with Bus services - Rs. 86,000 per year Talking about jobs, then there is a very excellent placement scenario for CSE students, which is about 95 % students got placed, with an average package of Rs. 3.5 Lakhs. The highest Placement of the previous year was about Rs. 12 lakhs.

There is an annual fest namely Technosaga which is for 2 days in which the first day is the technical day whereas the second day, is cultural. In Libraries, you will find all the books related to the course but it is not of the new publication, the library is fully wifi and Air Conditioned. The batch strength is 66 students per section. About 198 students are enrolled in CSE in SIRT. There is a sports complex which provides Badminton, Yoga, Gym, etc. And for outdoor games, there is a huge ground where students play cricket, volleyball, and football. There are many groups organized by our college for some extra activities like Sage EDC which is for entrepreneurship, and many others like this for crafts, welfare, training for jobs, singing and dancing, etc.

There are two 2 hostels and 3 girls hostel. In the first boy's hostel, you will get 2 students per room with bathrooms common, which is only for juniors i.e., for first-year students. There is a capacity of 140 students in this hostel. Other hostels have 3 students per room with a bathroom attached to it. The fees of the hostel is Rs. 55,000 per year for first-year students and for seniors it is Rs. 60,000 The hostel provides two times snacks and two times well-prepared meal. There is a mess in every hostel on the ground floor in which all the students have to come and take the meal. Food is unlimited, so you can eat as much as you can. If you we go for the PG, then don't live in the locality of the college, it is not as much good as it seems to be, better take at some distance from the college in the city area.
