Remarks
The admission process went smoothly and short. We were put into colleges in a very short time. Enjoyed the whole process until now. Being a mechanical engineer is fantastic. The logisticstical issues are handled horribly though. A good interface was chosen for teaching purposes, which is Microsoft teams.
Course Curriculum Overview
A conclusion cannot be formed right away due to the mode of teaching. To be very honest, the online way of teaching is not very effective. The teachers are taking time to get used to the interface. And it is very unfair to conduct online classes yet conduct exams in offline mode. The core subjects that are engineering graphics and mechanics are taken up exceptionally well though.
Internships Opportunities
Not applicable yet because I'm still a fresher here and still in my first semester. The internship opportunities have not been discussed with us yet. We have been told that we shall have a slot of internship to do for a certain amount of time in the fourth year for a project
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for placements from their third year. A very good number of students get placed into different companies which add value to their career. The average package for a mechanical student would be around 6 lakh rupees per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fee is pretty affordable, and there are multiple fee reimbursement programs for the privileged. Still, a fresher here, and hence I cannot elaborate on the different scholarships and assistance provided here
Campus Life
Again it's really hard to gauge all of these parameters here since it's all online and there is not much extracurricular activity going on. But Vasavi has a well-equipped library. Social clubs and other groups are for sophomores and above. Not much activity happening.
