Remarks

The colleges I had applied to were Welingkar, Mumbai (RBA Program) and Goa Institute of Management (BDA Program). The reason I didn't choose Goa Institute of Management was the fee structure as compared to Welingkar, Mumbai. Since both the institutes have similar placement records I decided to go for Welingkar, Mumbai. According to me, there is no other quota available at Welingkar so just go clear the cutoff and crack the Interviews. There were basic admission criteria of graduation and the MBA entrance exam scores like CAT, XAT, CMAT and ATMA. My admission process was held virtually, it was supposed to be GD and PI but later only extempore was taken.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because it is designed according to the latest industry requirements of managerial skills with a technical skillset. It later helps the students to get good placements. The faculty to student ratio is 1:6. The faculties are knowledgeable and are up to date with exceptional teaching methods. The term exams are held every 3 months with a moderate difficulty level.

Internships Opportunities

Most sales and marketing companies come for Summer internships where the stipend is 0 to 5k. Most of the projects are market research and sales, very few come for Analyst roles. Don't expect companies to with stipend more than 10K

Placement Experience

Students here are eligible from the start of their summer internship program depending on which company they are placed in. Companies like GEP, Infosys, Wipro visit the campus every year with 50+ offers in total. The highest package is 12LPA by GEP for a consultant role. Around 65% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 5.5 lac per year. Have no idea about the scholarship or any financial assistance. I haven't heard anything about the on-campus job. Also if there is any fee hike the college will inform you well in advance.

Campus Life

A huge event IMPACT is held by WeSchool in the month of October but unfortunately due to Covid, it was cancelled this year. The is also a huge collection of books available at WeSchool Library in both formats ie Ebook and Hard copies.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. The Real College Life

I was admitted through CMAT examination. The minimum cutoff to qualify was 80 but I had scored 97.5%. The admission process consisted of GD followed by PI, with moderate level of difficulty. The fee structure last year was 14,00,000 for two years but for the current year they have increased it to 15,50,000 for the entire 2 years.
