I have taken AUCET exam in the year 2008 and secured 1st rank. This university is one of the best state universities in undivided Andhra Pradesh state at that time. For Geology this university is best in the state.

In department of geology digital class rooms, regular seminars and group discussions by students on research trends in the area, field works, short term projects, industrial trips are part of the course curriculum. More stress and emphasis will be given on theoretical as well as on application research aspects.

Yes, Many departments independently provide internships for the students from affiliated colleges. Department of geology also provide internships for earth science students. Under this projects will be done. In general no stipend will be provided.

In total, few engineering departments, science departments will have campus placements. In particular about department of geology, these days campus placement is not available as off campus job opportunities are huge. With in six months of the course completion, students will be places in mining, oil and natural gas, research, ground water, and in many more sectors either by govt agencies or by private agencies (ONGC, OIL, CIL, and organisations like NGRI, ISRO, AMD, GSI, NIO etc).

Regarding technical meets and seminars, many national and international technical seminars will be arranged all along the year either by individual departments or by the management. Once in a year, university cultural festival will be arranged. Besides that, all festivals will be celebrated on huge scale by student body.

Fee structure is very flexible and very low as it is a state university. College tuition fee for most of the courses is around 10000 rupees only and it can be paid in installments. Hostel fee also will be around 2000 rupees for month and can be paid in installments.

Yes, Towards tuition fees and as well as for hostel fee, scholarships are available. Government scholarships and institutes scholarships are available. Institute scholarships are awarded on meritorious basis.

Campus life is awesome. The time one spent here will be a beautiful and best memory for life. Lush green, clean, open environment. A big play ground with all facilities, a modern gym, a in house hospital, neatly maintained hostels. Reservations were given for girls in all categories for gender equality, As I have seen girls are more in number and in almost all departments, they are toppers.

Semester exam system is present here. For each semester two mid terms exams will be there, out of which one is an online exam and another one is an offline exam. Besides this semester end exams will be there. Lab practicals will be the thrice in a week and lab exams also will be there in semester end exams.

After common entrance examination test, ranks will be declared then candidates will be called for counselling. In general counselling will be done in three phases and seats will be allotted according to the category. Most of the seats are general seats for all categories and few seats are in self finance mode.

Faculty are very well qualified. With all doctorates in esteemed universities, with many national and international publications, with industrial exposure, with extraordinary communication skills, with great experience, faculty is very good. In department of geology, each faulty is working at least with one outside agency for a sponsored project. Digital class rooms, field works, industrial trips are part of the course.
