"Most Precious 4 Years of my Life"

I have applied for two colleges in WestBengal and two in Madhya Pradesh(SD Bansal College, Indore, and one more). But I didn't join the other three because in one of them I didn't get CS Branch, the second one was costlier than I can afford, and the third one was not giving good placements. And in SD Bansal I got CS Branch, with good past placement records, and affordable too. That's why I chose SD Bansal College Indore. No, I didn't avail any quota for admission because College was in Madhya Pradesh and I am from Bihar that's why I didn't avail any quota for admission. Admission criteria in my college were good academic records in 12th from PCM stream and appear in JEE. I got the message after counseling and got to this college then I went to college to take admission after taking admission they called me to visit campus again for document verification. After that my admission was confirmed.

I have a very keen interest in computer science specially programming and SQL from my 11th standard only. So I decided to choose Computer Science and enhance my career as a Software Engineer. There are approx 150 students in CS Stream. Divided into 3 sections having 50 Students each. One class coordinator is there for each section. All the faculties are highly qualified and experienced. The way of teaching and making the concepts clear is very appreciatable. There are practical sessions for each subject to implement the theories that we have learned in classrooms. There are 5 Tutorials i.e. unit tests for each unit and two mid semesters before the end semester exam. They are quite easy to pass as all the concepts were covered very thoroughly in classrooms only.

Various companies offer opportunities for internships in various fields such as SB Infotech, Indore. They provide internships in web development, machine learning with a good stipend. In the lockdown time, They planned a virtual internship too.

Our college provides very good placements. Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester only. Minimum 50 and maximum 80 companies visit our college every year. Nearly 500 offers are made each year. The highest package offered in a technical field is 12 lpa, and the average package is 3 lpa. Approx 90% of students are placed in various companies. I got placed in Hexaware Technologies and have joined the same. I would like to continue here only after my degrees.

At our time of admission, There were percentage criteria on which fee depends. Like if we have a higher percentage in 12th then there is less amount fee to pay and vice versa. I didn't avail any scholarships because i am from another state. When the placements started i got selected in 2nd company itself (in which i appeared). I got placed in Hexaware Technologies as a graduate engineer Trainee with a package of 3.5 lpa.

Every year , one techfest and one sports day are organised in the month of October mostly. A virtual techfest was organised during this lockdown too. All the required books and journals are easily available in college library. A good facility of sitting and studying is there. Librarians are also helpful and good in nature. All the classrooms are equipped with good benches, desks, blackboard and lecture desk. good facilities of lights and fans in the classrooms. All types of sports facilities are there such as cricket ground, volleyball, basketball badminton etc.

I was availing private girls hostel in main road. There were all the required facilities such as bed, lights, fan, study table, book shelves , attached let-bath in room, refrigerator, common gas stoves for personal cooking and all that . Meal Quality was average. The menu was good. There was Sunday special lunch on sunday. For registration, we just need to fill a form and pay the caution money to the hostel owner. I was living in a girls hostel near Bhawarkuan.
