I had applied for LM Thapar Institute of Management and some colleges of Delhi but after considering their fees structure with the placements over the past years I didn't found that worthy and opted for SMVD University as the University was one of the best in the town and also the fees for the course is not much as compared to the fee structure of different colleges offering the same course. One thing that attracts me was the university also provides scholarships on the scores of Management aptitude tests and the admission process was very much sorted.

MBA is a field that covers many aspects and helps one to build their personality and enhance their skills which might help us in nearby future. It is a good field for doing Masters and also provides safety of career. Faculty members were very helpful during the entire course and provide their valuable guidance whenever needed. All faculty members are highly qualified in their respective fields. Exams are conducted as per the schedule given in the calendar by the university before the commencement of the semester.

During this era of the pandemic, all of us are facing some serious issues. Somehow the exposure to internship has reduced and most of the companies had opted for online modes which have reduced the possibilities of industrial visits. Things will get back to normal very soon but now one has the perfect opportunity to take maximum benefit of courses from Coursera, Internshala to upgrade one's own skills by working on different projects.

Companies like ICICI Bank, Prudential, SBI Life insurance, Godrej visit the campus after the 1st year ends. The package of these companies differs with each year where the eligibility criteria are different for every company. Last year more than 90% of students were placed in these companies where the average package was around 4 lakhs per annum.

Course fees are very genuine as compared with the fees structure of other universities offering similar courses. One can get scholarships based on Management entrance tests and also by maintaining a semester CGPA of 8.5. I was placed at ICICI Bank and did my summer internship at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages limited which really helped me in building interpersonal skills.

The ambience of the university differentiates it from the others. Situated in Katra between the Mountains is surely an atmosphere which can't be missed. Different fests such as Tatiksha, Tatva, Artha are organized by students of different fields during the months of January, February, May and October. The library contains journals and books of all fields. University has provided the facilities for all the extracurricular activities and one can choose the clubs as per his/her own interest.

The university is fully residential where one doesn't have the facility to opt for a PG. Hostels are alloted to students as per their fields where the rooms are in good conditions with common washrooms for a block of 8 students. Water purifiers are set up at different places on all floors. The food of the mess does resemble home and is very much good.
