Remarks

The college Management is very strict in every sense which is both good and bad good: motivates students to focus on studies. Bad: no personal growth, as students are treated as primary class children. No freedom, not even to move out of college premises before the college gets over sounds so funny.

Entrance Preview

I gave UPTU exam to get into this college. Those days MIET used to take students only under 10k rank for brnaches like CS, IT, EC. But it also takes alot of students through management quota and on 12th marks merit basis.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum was in accordance to the syllabus provided by UPTU. A lot of books were available in the market as UPTU is a huge and famous university. Mostly books were provided by the college library which was very well equipped and students can save on money by referring to library books. Teachers also used to provide notes for topics which were difficult to find in books.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provides any internship. We students have to ourself apply in companies and seek for internship where no stipend is provided. None of the students of my batch got stipend.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements in those used to be good. Companies like wipro and TCS used to come and pick students in bulk. 80% of the batch was placed that year. Apart from this, there were companies like UST global and also indian army came encouraging students to appear for indian army. Even the college used to set up special classes to prepare students for placements. Both LR/DI/Quants as well as professional grooming classes.

College Events

0.5

Frankly speaking, this was one area where this college was badly lacking. Specially for day scholars. There were no events, no extra-curricular activities. Not at all. There used to be a 3day fest once a year in this college where few events like dance, singing, painting, skit competitions were held. There used to be a DJ night marking the last day of the 3-day fest. That was the only recreation activity for 1year of studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very nominal and feasible. During my college days, it used to be around 75k for 1year. Which was almost affordable unlike other expensive colleges like amity. So, the ROI was totally achievable. Even though i was a day scholar, but i have heard that hostel fees was also affordable like 40k per year excluding mess charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

College used to provide scholarship to the meritorious students and also for students of each branch who chose MIET as their 1st choice during counselling and they got the same branch and same college.

Campus Life

2

There is not much to campus life as the college dean used to hunt for students bunking classes. They even dint allow students to bunk a class and sit in canteen. The director himself used to come and check the canteen that nobody is sitting in canteen during college hours. There was such a terror among students. It was worse than a school. Labs were well equipped. No sports for girls, specially day scholars no encouragement for extra- curricular activities. Their only focus used to be placements.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel was a clean and tidy one. It provided 2,3 & 4 seater rooms and charged accordingly. The warden used to be strict having good control over students. Here u'm referring to girls hostel only.! As girls were not allowed to leave hostel prmises aftr 6PM. Nor were they allowed to leave hostel for night stay somewhere outside without the written permission from the warden. Food was acceptable though not very great. It used to serve 3 times meal along with evening tea. No day scholars were allowed inside.!

Alumni/Alumna

I don't think there is any alumni network of this college. But yes, the seniors were helpful in providing guidance, notes etc. This college is totally anti ragging, so there is less interaction with seniors but gradually as people get to know each other in hostel or other events, seniors have always been helpful.

Exam Structure

It was not so chilled out as compared to other UPTU colleges or DU colleges. There was a rigorous exam structure. There were 2 semesters and each semester had 3 sectionals. The 3rd sectional exam used to cover the entire syllabus that had to come in the semester exam.

Admission

Admission is through any engineering exam. I gave uptu exam. Which holds its counselling in each city of uttar pradesh. In counselling students have to fill 3 choices. 3 colleges of their choice and a cheque of some minimal amount somewhat around 10k. If u get the college of your liking then you get the call from the college else, the money is refunded to you. Please make sure that u make realistic choices and not just your dream colleges in order to get into one.

Faculty

3

Faculties were quite helpful. It was almost like spoon feeding. They used to teach and teach tirelessly till the time student wont understand the topic. Alot of focus was given to teaching the topics. This was the best thing about this college. Faculties were always open to teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
