This college is one of the best in Calcutta university. It's now ranked 7 in India and 1 in the state for best times B college as well as it is famous for its commerce department. Not only in Calcutta but it is famous in its neighbor states like Bihar, Assam students from there come to get admission here. Complete admission is merit basis and done online. College releases its form after the 12th exams are over and their results are out. Form fees are RS 750. This college has 3 batches in b.com Hons morning, afternoon and evening, afternoon batch is only for girls, and morning and evening batches are co. ed. So if you want to submit the form for more than 1 batch you have to pay 750 for every batch form. You must have got at least 75% in your 12 to get admission. After you have submitted your form they review your profile and if you are eligible then you have to pay the amount. They take fees semester-wise so the first time you have to pay 25000.

Currently, I am doing b.com accounting and finance, Hons which is a 3-year degree course where you will get the knowledge of finance, accounting, taxation. The fees for this complete course (3-years) are Rs 1,50,000. The class is about 80 students. The teachers are here highly qualified and student-friendly, they are knowledgable. As we are right now studying online so till now the teaching method is good we don't get much bored in class the teachers make study good here. Exams are taken semester wise and it isn't that hard to pass exams online. Exams are taken mcq wise only accounts exam was written which was bit tough but overall exams are not that hard to pass. You can get high marks easily hereafter giving exams online.

Many companies like Deloitte, PwC, E&Y, and many others visit here and hire the best students and make them better leaders for the future. Our college conducts interview preparation classes and mock interviews so that students don't hesitate during the final interview. About 80% of the students get internships from here.

From the last semester itself, students are eligible for campus placement. And as I have already mentioned that the College is ranked 7 in India and ranked 1 in the state so don't worry about the internship and campus placement opportunities here you will be shocked to know that every year more than 10 companies come to our campus. Here are some of the famous companies that have visited our campus in past years and no doubt they keep continue visit: Tata consultancy services, Reliance, Wipro, HCL , Cognizant, Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, Ernest and young, Bharti Airtel, Hindalco, Mahindra and many more.

The fees for the b.com Hons are Rs one lakh fifty thousand (3 years). The fees are distributed year-wise Rs 47500 is for the first year. Yes, the college has a scholarship scheme. The scholarship is on a merit basis if you want to get the scholarship in Bcom Hons then you need to have at least 85% in your higher secondary board (wbsec board) and for the boards like CBSE, icse you need to have at least 90% marks in your higher secondary examination to get the scholarship where your first semester fees are completely free, and presently the college has decided that any of the students have lost their parents in this covid pandemic then their college fees won't be taken instead they're it will be completely free up to they complete their education in the college.

BESC has its own fest called UMANG. This fest is one of the best in the city big celebrities, influencers come to this fest and make our fest famous. Our college has a very large and beautiful library it can accommodate 500 students and here you will get to see more than 5000 books and borrow books that are three at a time and then return and then borrow again. Our college has a big basketball court where a basketball tournament is conducted and prizes are also distributed to the winners, not only basketball many other sports and activities are done here and it's one of the best.
