Opportunities (Study and Skills Enhancement)

About March I've applied for UPSEE( Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination), in which I got about 20k rank and I was really in bad condition and thinking that I'll not be getting any good college, then at the time of counselling I've applied for top private colleges in which Miet was at 3 or 4th position. Our family income isn't that good, so I applied for the FW category and in the first slot I got selected with the ECE branch. The admission criteria are very easy, we can also take direct admissions based on 12th Marks, and it should not be less than 70% for a good branch. Under the admission process, we have to carry our mark sheets and Aadhar card. They will tell you the rest of the further documentation later. On the day of admission, we have to directly reach the administration department where we will get further documentation details and the admission process. Overall experience was really good and I was so excited to take admission to College.

In Met, we have so many courses but I chose ECE because I have a great interest in Electronics. And there is almost a 1:30 ratio in this department between faculty or mentor with students, it's good. And every faculty is well educated from nits or iits. And the very important thing is Monthly tests and weekly assignments and doubt sessions make it easier for students to focus more on studies and overall development.

There are a lot of companies that visit to hire intern students also in which Verzeo and IBM hire a bunch of students and offer jobs also based on performance. Here we have different faculties for different interests which guide us on our ideas and implementation. Many students go for IoT projects and ML projects in which they have made a racing car, A Robo arm and many other projects using Arduino and others.

Here we have a separate placement cell that provides us yearly knowledge and internship opportunities every week. We have separate soft skills classes to improve our communication skills as well. From the 6th sem, a student gets eligible for interview or placements. In miet a lot of companies hub visits like Amazon, Wipro, TCS and many other mnc's also. In our college, the highest placement package was 22 L which is provided to an MBA student and 15 L package to a Btech student as well. And the average package is almost around 4L per annum. The requirements for placements vary according to the company some seeks 70% students, and some hire students with 65%. If I talk about my plan after the completion of my Btech I'll seek placements in big MNC's like Amazon.

The fee offered for Btech is almost 1.25L per annum, but if our marks are good then we can apply for Scholarships, where we get up to 60k refund from Government. And in miet there's a different cabin given to scholarship department which makes it easier for students to apply easily for scholarships. Here we can apply for Chhatra Kalyan Samaj Scholarships, State Government Scholarships as well as National Scholarships programs as well.

In miet fest is a part of our life as it motivates and reboost our energy to focus more on our strengths. Rangotsav and Kolahaal is our annual fest in which many celebrities come to reboost our energy. If I talk about libraries, here are 3 Libraries in our college and we can issue almost every kind of book on our ID basis. There are almost 45-60 students in every class which itself tells us the space of every classroom which is very big and hygienic. Here we have a lot of cultural and sports activities in which Rangotsav and Rangmanch, and on a cluster basis, college provide the opportunity to students to show off their talents in sports. Our college has so many different clubs and societies at the departmental level as well as college level in which see, Iec and many more provides students with an opportunity to enhance their other skills as well.
