Remarks
The college I applied to is gautam buddha University (Greater Noida). All reasons are lockdown.. And I'm in 3rd year.. No, I didn't avail any quota. The minimum marks are 50. 00 cgpa. The admission process was through a in college entrance paper in which I scored 30th rank in the course and they needed 10th and 12th boards result, and the confirmation letter from the college and the all-over rank in the entrance and it was all smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
Cause I researched about it a lot and I genuinely got an interest in it through the point that 1.it's related to Food and 2. The competition is less in this field. But as for the faculty of our college is not so great having said they aren't that well educated in this field or they don't have proper knowledge about the subjects. Just a few of the teachers are good..! and having a less no. Of student is not that great. The qualification is of a Ph.D. but the knowledge is not that great. Teaching methods to be the talk of isn't good some teachers just rant the ppt and go. There are 2 exams in one semester one is internals and the end sem +practical exams. And to be honest the exams are not that difficult except the biotechnology papers.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is a lot as per the course of food technology and the lab facilities in our college which is not at all better. And they charge a lot for the hostel and even made it compulsory for the local students as it doesn't make any sense. I don't have a scholarship and any in campus job.
Campus Life
Once a year, the college host a grand fest as abivyanjana in mid-October and a college tech fest also per semester. As for the library, it's huge a whole building. yeah, there are a lot of books available every time. Our college is all about infrastructure so our classrooms have all amenities from air conditioning to digital presentation. For the sports, we have a swimming pool, cricket stadium, 3 basketball courts, indoor games stadium a huge stage is known as O.A.T for concerts and even a big whole building as an auditorium in which there are another 3 more small auditoriums for theatres. There are a lot of clubs including drama, dance, karate, sports and many more.
Hostel Facilities
Okay, so, first of all, you get a whole room for yourself with a balcony and if you're lucky then with a good view. You get an almirah, side table, bed, study table, cabinet to keep books, and a chair. And for the washrooms, there are 4 common washrooms on every floor. The meal quality is good and we have a good menu which changes as per the season. There is no registration for the hostel as it's compulsory for every student. For locality now it's a bit better than before and you can easily get a pg nearby sectors.
