Fun Learning Experiences

First I took participate in REAP-2019 and got B. Tech(EC) in M.B.M. Engineering College Jodhpur Rajasthan. I left this programme because I wanted to do B. Tech from IIT or NIT. I joined the Central University of Rajasthan in the general category. Submission of counselling fees was done online at home. Then the administration called me to come to the University for the first round of counselling. I got 63 marks out of 100 in CUCET-2019 and was admitted to the University at 3rd Rank in the Unreserved Category. The admission process was quite good. Students from different parts of India were collected in one of the halls of the Department of Chemistry. There were faculty members seated in front of us and calling the name of students as per the rank issued in the merit list. One who got high rank was given more priority for admission. Excess students who were beyond intake were shifted to the waiting list. Counseling was an amazing experience of my life.

I chose chemistry because of my high interest in dealing with different chemical compounds. In the first semester of Int. M. Sc. Chemistry there were three faculties in the strength of 120 students of all departments. Almost all facilities have exposure of abroad studies and completed PhD from top IITs. They served as Professors in various prestigious colleges of India. There was two internals of 20 marks each and one End of semester exam of 60 marks in a single semester. Passing the exams is not much difficult. It is a Deemed University so the papers are made by the faculties who teach us. If we have a good command of what the teachers taught us then we can score well in every exam.

Internshala provides us option to edit our interests and makes resume according to the details filled by us. According to the interests, it'll show different available internships of different durations. Nowadays Digital Marketing is in high demand so if we choose marketing as one of our interests then it'll show internships related to content writing, social media marketing, email marketing, SEO, etc. Most of the internships are paid and having an average stipend of 10k. If we'd like to do research then we should have a high command of Analytical Chemistry because Laboratory work will be the signature thing for the assessment of anyone in deciding whether one is eligible for the job or not.

From the 6th semester of the pragramme students become eligible for campus placements. The University provides jobs and internships through Internshala. And Internshala has huge amount of offers given by various startups and private companies like TCS and many more. The highest packages offered by companies are around 12Lac CTC and the average would become 6Lac CTC. Around 70% of the total intake get selected for various prestigious companies and the rest of the students would like to do research and other things. After getting the degree I'll apply for job in the chemical industry. If I clear NET-JRF then I'll go for research.

Fees hike by 10% every year. Tuition fee includes around 4k, Hostel fee is of 3.5k and Mess security cum deposit is 12k now. An overall academic fee for 1st semester is 27k. There is no scholarship provided by the University. We can avail of scholarship on our own, whether it can be from category or it can get as per our score in Senior secondary. We can visit at NSP portal to check more details about scholarships provided by the Central Or State govt. This University provides internships and jobs at Internshala. We can choose any internship as per our interests.

There are fests organized every year in all departments. Based on permission from higher authorities and sponsors fests happen twice every year. There are a lot of books and journals available in the central library. There are various tournaments of football, cricket, basketball, badminton, etc take place every year. Also, the good players were chosen for play outside state or zonal competition. There are different clubs regulated by students like drama club, dance club, music club, etc. Even I also a member of the Drama club.

Assignment of Hostel accommodation starts just after the completion of the admission process in counseling. There is a single room for a single student is available only for PhD students. The remaining program students live two in a room and it is three for girls in a single room. Every room has an almirah, two study tables, and chairs, bed and mattress, etc. The meal is quite good and there are dishes from all over India on the menu. Whole food is vegetarian, consists of seasonal vegetables, two types of dals, rice, chapatti in lunch and dinner. I haven't rented any room or PG. But there is a facility of PG near the University.
