Think twice before going to Amity University

I have applied for Amity University Raipur and I got it in one go , their was a direct admission procedure in this university and I was not asked to give any admission test or so, and neither there was any gd/pi round. There is a scholarship criterion which is good , if you have scored more than 93% in your 12th standard then you are eligible for 100% scholarship if you have scored more than 85 then you are eligible for 50% scholarship and if you have scored more than 75% then you are eligible for 25% scholarship.

I choose BBA because I want to enter into the corporate world and I choose Amity University because it is known for its management course in my area. The faculty here are good and mainly all the faculty here are highly qualified in their area. Their teaching methods are also great they change according to the changing environment. The exams are held semester wise and it is not that difficult to pass the exam.

They provide internship opportunities through CRC in the 4th semester and they are not capable of bringing good companies for internship opportunities. The name of few companies which visited this year are GTM advisory & sons , simmi foundation, tenhard India and 2-3 more companies . The roles offered by them are of all domains be it finance, marketing, or HR. The companies they bring are mainly focused on the sales and marketing part.

The campus placement is also not good as they didn't bring well-known companies and the overall package which they provide is also not good. The students become eligible for campus placement in the 6th semester. The highest package is not more than 4 or 5 lakhs and the average package is around 2 lakh. 50 % of students are getting placed every year but most students do not take it because of less package offered. My plan after getting the degree is to give CAT to get enrolled in a big MBA college.

The fees of my BBA program are 82k for 1 year which is quite less than many other B schools. They also provide scholarship, if you have got more than 93% in your 12th standard then you are eligible for a 100% scholarship, and if you have scored more than 85% then you are eligible for a 50% scholarship, and if you have scored more than 75% than you are eligible for 25% scholarship. You will receive a scholarship throughout the 3 yrs of your course but you have to maintain a good GPA more than 8.5 .

The life at the campus is not that much good because of the classes from 9 am to 5 pm , its annual fest that is amispark is also not at all good, the fest is mainly conducted in winter in the month of December . Library is good and there are various varities of books available. There is centralized AC in the whole college,in every room of the college. They lack extracurricular activities as there are no clubs and no other activities other than study.
